I AM A LITTLE CONFUSED I THOUGHT THE VALT GOES IN FRIST THAN CASKET THEN VALT TOP. WHY DOSE IT LOOK LIGHT CASKET GOES UP UNDER NEATH ?
@marcobetanzos24676 ай бұрын
@@alliyahdog7038The answer is because this type of vault is cheaper than the other one that you're talking about. The problem with this kind of vault is that doesn't have the bottom part and that will affect the coffing because it will have contact with the dirt, and pretty soon with humidity! Funeral Homes have different types of vaults, and people buy the one they like!
@TheWarGamer116 ай бұрын
@@alliyahdog7038this vault is called a Clark steel which doesn't seal like the wilburt vault. Instead the steel Clark seals using a hydro seal which is why the top is essentially a bell and the base has a channel which when water fills it will prevent the more water from entering into the steel Clark do the air inside having no place to escape.

I know this may sound stupid, but I was never aware that the casket was put in a vault before permanent resting. I suppose I never really thought about it, Ive not been to enough funerals or have close family pass to be aware of this. I guess I never really thought about a casket in the ground and what happens to it. Now I know. Very respectful gentleman dressed properly for placing the deceased to final resting place. @@timsuspanic7905 Cost money anyway. Look at all the work it is to install it. And it came in a truck or a panel truck. I saw an article mentionning that Lee Harvey Oswald (ALLEGED JKF killer) had one. He was put in his hole in late november 1963. Somewhere in 1981 they exhumed his body because rumors were telling it's not him in the hole. So they removed everything and his coffin was pure SCRAP. I saw pictures of it. So i wonder what is the utility of such cover... Then they put Oswald remains in a brand new coffin without a cover... If you want your coffin to be like new 100 years later, put it in a columbarium (concrete sections) like Marilyn Monroe, Hugh Efner, etc. Although those one are outside so humidity. Here in my hometown in Quebec, Canada, they built one but you put the coffin by inside the building only. With climatisation inside so no humidity. Opened in 1992 because the first date on the wall is 1992. You pay for 100 years. After that you better have nice relatives to pay for another 100 years and in 170 years, having other nice relatives. And 100 years later...

Wow. I can't get over people get duped into spending how many thousands and thousands of dollars for expensive caskets and "vaults". Me personally am going with a natural burial. Wrap me in a linen sheet, lower me in and cover me up and plant a shrubbery native to the area on top, play 3 special songs on a CD I have made, drink a 6 pak and walk away. I have no family, so no one to mourn my departure. AND I can have my dog buried right next to me.

When someone dies unexpectedly, the families are in a very bad headspace. This is the perfect time for the unscrupulous to offer a grieving family the highest priced options, because "you want to protect them" or "it's what they would've wanted". Basically, why buy a $900 vault when a $5,000 vault works exactly the same?
