Been wanting to tackle this for a long time. Car has been very stubborn to lower. Nothing ground breaking to see here.

lol thanks for that. I did ramble on more than I even remembered. Thankfully I don't take this stuff very seriously. I'm not trying to become some youtube star like a lot of folks are. Just for fun.

@@yungtooli even without the dark tint these cars a tiny bit of a pain to back up. One of the first things I did was buy a double din head unit and a high quality back up camera. Worth all the headache of install!

@@yungtooli I used a P-CAM 150. Search in KZbin Five Star Car Audio C5 Corvette. Watch their install video and that is what I copied for my camera and the way it's mounted. It's an expensive camera but it rivals a factory installed camera in resolution.

You can always go lower by getting longer bolts in the rear
@PNW_Car_Mods2 жыл бұрын
Funny you should mention that bill. I have a video on doing that very thing. :) It was the only way I could get the thing somewhat level front to rear.

Nice job! I really want to do this but it seems like I scrape on everything i get near as it is so shying away from lowering for now. Thanks for sharing with us.
@PNW_Car_Mods2 жыл бұрын
There is definitely an acceptable amount of scraping on these cars that won't harm anything. I also run the add on skids on the front radiator subframe. After enough years of hearing the scraping you kind of ignore it after a while lol.
@devonr7497 Жыл бұрын
As long as it is the plastic piece that is scraping and not your actual bumper it is fine

Does the car have to be raised so the weight is off of the wheels? Or can I just drive it onto some ramps and get under the car for the rear bolts?
@PNW_Car_Mods Жыл бұрын
Actually had to think about this a minute. While you could easily access the bolts with the car backed up on ramps I'm unsure if having the weight of the car on the rear spring would cause too much binding to loosen the nuts on the rear bolts. If there is too much tension it could tear up the threads on the rear bolts. I think it's best to let the suspension hang if you can.
@YellowVette045 жыл бұрын
Nice job on the vid. I lowered mine on stock bolts and didn't get much lower on mine but just enough to look different and not scrape the air dam too bad on my driveway.
@PNW_Car_Mods5 жыл бұрын
The air damn doesn't bother me at all, but when I hit the front sub frame skids on the ground or my headers, that makes me cringe a bit more :(
@YellowVette045 жыл бұрын
@@PNW_Car_Mods I hear you on that. Onlookers think you're messing up the car when they hear the air dam bc they don't know any better.

@@PNW_Car_Mods I don't understand why should be same parts
@danielbudimir85192 жыл бұрын
It's seems like the bolts never tighten....do they ever come loose or out of adjustment? Just seems like the blots can fall out or something...seems to easy to do I guess I'm used to tightening suspension bonds to torque.
@PNW_Car_Mods2 жыл бұрын
Daniel when the car has it's weight on it sitting on the ground there is no way the bolts can turn. It's just too much resistance. They can in some cases even seize if the car was ever driven in bad climates or salty roads. I've heard of people breaking the inserts out of the front spring.

@@PNW_Car_Mods do a 15” conversion and go with a 275/60 15. Looks great and fills out the back. If you wanna stick to a bigger wheel then I would consider a 17 with a 305/45 17. I ran that on mine before I went 15 and it looked very good and filled out the back nicely!

20 inch rear wheel and 19 inch front wheel the solution to fillup these wheelhouse without playing with the height.
