Thank you so much for another great trip to the garden center. Always enjoy going with you and seeing what you see oh my gosh I need to go over and pick a few new plants up this week. I’m redoing one of my flower beds in the front that I pulled totally apart.

Thank you for telling us the plants' zone hardiness. Very helpful for those of us that garden in a lower zone (Michigan zone 6a for me). We currently have no plants at our local garden centers yet but good to know what I should look for when they do come it 💕

You are welcome. Zones are key when getting plants. Hopefully your store will start stocking up soon.

My family home, that I lived in until a few yrs ago, had a giant pipe/huge drainage ditch exactly like yours. When we were kids, it would fill up & we’d put a row boat in it. You should plant water loving plants along the banks to minimize the few floods. Love the store tours. Just like me you never neglect the clearance section.I have Lupus & am sick a lot, so I can’t always make it to every store, as things change. -subscriber to the North in New England

Hi there. I was so discouraged when I realized that it was a ditch but I'm learning to work with it. Clearance plants are so exciting to sift through. I hope that you will be able to get out soon. Take care

Same lastcyear I racked up on drift roses 12.00 each on clearance was regular 25.00 each. I love checking clearance racks especially for perennials that are still in good condition.

It's amazing some of the things I get on clearance. And save so much money. They had all their roses on clearance in December and I racked up, lol

Their prices have increased so much I won't buy there anymore. Its insane.
@gardeningonpurpose333410 ай бұрын
They appear to be the lowest prices in my area.. but you are right. Prices have gone up

Thankfully for me I live in an area with a large Amish population and several farms have greenhouses so that’s where I get most of my plants, and they are more reasonably priced.

'Arp' Rosemary is hardy to USDA Zone 6. For Agapanthus hardy down to USDA Zone 6 you have to order it from a specialty nursery. I think the yellow growth on the cypress are its flowers.

I know cost is always a big issue for all of us gardeners, but I wish you (& all the others too) would shop at local garden centers rather than the big box stores. Local garden centers are usually locally owned & profit stays in our own communities. Big box stores are not local & profit goes far away from home. Thanks.

I just got the Queen Elizabeth. It's pretty great when the employees know you and what you're looking for❤

Lol, I know right. They are so nice. And always willing to chat about plants. Haha. I hope your queen Elizabeth does amazing this year. Thanks and have a great day.

I may go get that. It was a good price. I have a red knockout rose that's diseased and being taken out. QE seems like a good replacement.
@mhubertcfi10 ай бұрын
@pacjam418 I got mine at the Grocery Outlet. If you have one you should check for roses. The last few years they've had some really good ones. I also got Le Petite Prince, Cathedral Bells and Just Joey but my Walmart also had QE so apparently she's everywhere!

How do you keep your Lambs Ear alive,,,, Mine fried during the summer. Does it need shade even though it says sun ?????
@gardeningonpurpose333410 ай бұрын
Hi. My two main clumps are in blazing sun and they seem to do fine. They love the sun because the clump keeps getting bigger and bigger. I actually need to divide it this spring.
