🎄 I wonder about the blow in insulation. It’s in my airspace above my ceiling. Is this even safe? And what is the cost of having it removed? I feel at this point when I’m up in the space looking around I couldn’t tell if there were any leaks anywhere and I can’t really lift it up and look underneath it because it’s just all particles everywhere.

Why didn't you install a vapor barrier sheathing over the insulation before you drywalled it up? You may be encouraging mold in climates with four seasons like pennsylvania, which can get pretty humid in summer.

I have some insulation material.. one side is shiny & the other kinda has a yellow cotton candy like 3 inch soft material. Would this be good for a dog’s house? My neighbors dogs are outdoor only pets & they both suffer in the cold. The owner only provides them with food. Any advice?

It sounds like the insulation could help keep the dogs warmer, but we'd recommend finding out exactly what type of material it is or consulting with a professional to make sure it’s safe for animals. Overhyped and too expensive. Fiberglass is cheaper and works better in most situations. Before the keyboard warriors start I have over 20 years in the business.
