Great energy... I loved how you used the tape to show the wires.. This is a Job that I am sure many people would really enjoy having the upgrade in their bathrooms... Deleir and Aubrey are both calming and fun to learn with... Having a tall ladder truly does help and must be used while connecting the wires... Great work guys... I look forward to seeing more from Aubrey and Deleir...

What about the light above the shower? Any special requirements for that since it's close to a water source?

I'm an electrician, and correct, push the wires into the box means the part that has the wire nuts. What they installed is called a flying splice and 1. Against code, 2. Its against code because its a fire hazard. If the wire nuts come loose you now have live energized conductors in your attic. There's also less chance of it tripping a breaker if there is a loose connection as it won't go to ground against the box. I'm also concerned about how they extended the wiring from the existing light location, based off the way they're talking it seems like another flying splice tucked behind where they would patch back the old light with drywall. To safely DIY ( I love people taking on projects to save money) you need to understand why these codes exist and a base understanding is vital. If that house was to burn down and god forbid kill that family or pets she can be held personally ( financially and legally) liable. That's why we have license, and pull permits to prevent and or track work history in the event the worst happens. Stay safe everyone!

Didn’t even push the wires into the junction box connected onto the light. Shows lack of experience and should be installed by a real electrician.
