Omg I just reunited (found her after years of not seeing her on tv) with Monica. Before moving to the San Francisco Bay area in 2017, I used to watch a non-cable channel I think it was the LiveWell Network that aired (think similar to HGtv) old episodes (they didn't seem old but came to find out shows were 6+ years old when I was watching them at that time) different home improvement/decor, DIY-related content. One of the shows (quite a few were Canadian base) was called Knock It Off with designers Monica and her friend Jess Jackson. I loved that show and realized S.F. Bay area non-cable programs were different from what airs in L.A. (same with paid cable/satellite). I even looked on the Internet hoping to re-watch the old shows I watched in L.A. or find updates on related content but found nothing. Monica so glad to see you again 🤩 after many years.

I LOVE the wall color you chose, and the velvet drapes with the wallpapered valence all work perfectly in the room. I'm so happy you turned the beautiful window area into a sitting/reading nook. I would love to add trim work to my walls like you did in this bedroom, but I'm chicken and zero skills. Good to see that I could do it - if I ever get up the courage to do so - with construction glue and wouldn't have to worry about how to drive nails in to hold everything together, because I'm backwards when it comes to using a hammer and no way would I splurge and buy (or even try to rent) a finisher nail gun. Our master bedroom is also the last room in our house we're doing over, and the decision fatigue is real!

My advice would be to wait a minute so. If you have decision fatigue you may well just decide "that will do" and settle for something that isn't part of your dream. And then you'll end up regretting it for years until you redo the room. How do I know that? Yup, I did that 20 years ago and I'm still regretting it. If I could go back to the start again it would have saved me 20 years of discontent and disappointment when I walk into my bedroom. Trust me, you don't want that. If it takes 3 years to get your room exactly how you want it, then it takes 3 years. Seriously.

I love the added molding. The wallpapered cornice is a great finishing touch to the bay window and conceals the not-so-elegant tops of the drapes. I would have gone with a 12" deep cornice since the ceilings are so high. All in all, its a beautiful room.
