chocobonita the Islamic militants are just there to defend themselves foreign policy from the us and uk who are there for the oil gives em no choice but to fight back, Pakistan’s not at war and there aren’t as many Murders there as there are in Afghanistan cuz there’s not a war. They’re all people and just want to stop being killed for oil.
@mra30765 жыл бұрын
chocobonita I’m Muslim and what you’re saying bro is actually truthful. But it’s not the whole truth. Yes all those things such as a global Caliphate, everyone being Muslim and Islam being the only true religion are all expressed and wanted in Islam. But it’s not supposed to be attained through the killing of innocents and the compulsion of hostages etc. All religions go through trends and right now a SMALL PERCENTAGE of Muslims are interpreting the texts through an extremist lens due to Western Imperialism. Just like the Crusades or any Catholic/Protestant war etc. Your point about Buddhism I agree with though, it is a peaceful religion that preaches unity. However, just to prove my point about trends, read up on what happened to the Rohingya Muslims in Burma. It’s not to smear all Buddhists because only a minority committed these heinous acts just like only a minority agree with the Islamist narrative.
@followthedream33844 жыл бұрын
@chocobonita Firstly, my parents moved to the west from the Middle East before I was born because they were caught in the middle of a brutal war. They didn't leave because they hate their country, I don't know where you pulled that from but most people, like them, left because they had to for safety. They don't hate their country, and they don't hate this country too. Nothing is black and white like that, and I think that line from Low-key is actually relatable to a lot of people. My heart is in the Middle East because it is the land of my ancestors, but that doesn't mean I hate where I live, and why should it? On your second point, there are violent people from each religion or ideology. In the Quran it states that to "kill one innocent person is as though you have killed all of humanity." But there are still extremists militias who exploit the religion in order to commit violent acts. This is true for every religion. You mention Buddhism, it is a peaceful religion, but that doesn't mean that it's not exploited too. There have been many massacres committed by Buddhist extremists, even though ultimately it is too a peaceful religion. People with bad intentions often exploit religion as a tool to gain influence within their community, this is evident with pedo priests in Christianity today too. Whether or not Buddhism or Islam ruled in Afghanistan or Pakistan it would not mean the region would be peaceful, as the wars exploit religion as a means of influence but they're actually about gaining control of assets and resources in the region. I'll remind you that it was initially the US who armed what is today the Taliban in order to fight the Soviet Union in Afghanistan, only to then fight them directly years later. Whether it was a region of Islam or Buddhism there would be just as much exploitation by external and internal forces because it's never been about religion, it's about money, resources and control.
@followthedream33844 жыл бұрын
@chocobonita So let me clarify this. When I, and many others, say we have a connection to a place in the world, and our "heart is in that place," by no means does that mean that I support everything that is done and has been done there. It also doesn't mean that I want the country I live in to be like my country of origin. I'm aware of everything you mentioned, the sectarionism and the historical conflicts. I want, like many in and outside the region, for those troubles to be left in the past. I don't "hold onto" any beliefs that "aren't compatible" with where I live. I think for myself and I have my own beleifs formed from my own experience and no one else's. I love my place of origin not because of the past or present pitfalls in society and culture but because I want to see progress and peace in the region. As I also want the best for the country I'm living in too. I come from a minority Muslim community, who has been persecuted in the past and present so it would be easy for me to just sit online and list some atrocities my community has seen at the hands of Islamic extremists and reach the same hypothesis you have. However, I don't see things in that light. Where there has been injustice there has also been progress and unity, but progress gets overlooked because it's not as exciting as conflict in the west. On your point about Islam, I'm not a religious scholar so I don't have all the answers and I don't get all my info about Islam from the internet like you've recommended. Most of my friends aren't Muslim and I've never been told to only have Muslim friends or to hate other religions or any of those things you mentioned. I don't know where you've gotten those ideas from to be honest, but I don't think they represent the majority of Muslims at all. I'm not here to debate religion though. I just think you're viewing things in a very one dimensional frame We can all love something whilst being critical of it's flaws, and to have a connection to a place doesn't mean we embody all of your ideas about that place. Have a good day.

@Bob_Nuggett6 жыл бұрын
@@SvN8SiX I meant more about recognition. They may sell out shows, but they're not at the size venues they deserve. You get fake MCs who are marketed, selling out 60-100k shows, and don't even write their own shit. How the fuck are the likes of lil xan and lil pump bigger than these guys?
@haroonhussain66846 жыл бұрын
Not reached global scale coz they not gonna sell their soul to the media industry. Only we the fans can spread their lyrical mastery.
@sk-sn4vh6 жыл бұрын
SvN8SiX no they have a hardcore loyal fanbase so they will always have good numbers and sell out tours but they won’t do massive sales and streams and be in the mainstream. There are multiple rappers that don’t sell loads but have sold out shows when they tour because of that fan base that they built up

@Space Man I have no clue what kind of lemons you've come in contact with but if you think one is on par with lowkey... you need help. If you've ever seen a single performance by him then you'd know that the man can pack incredibly poignant political messages into a song and still have a phenomenal beat/rhythm. It would be pretty hard for the vast majority of people in any society to use art so effectively to speak truth to power. So maybe don't call the guy a fucking lemon.
