I may not know much about multiplayer Starcraft since I'm nervous about jumping into the PvP scene, but that comment is pretty rich coming from someone who looked like they weren't able to follow up after their cheese strategy was dealt with and countered. The Zerg Player, despite being a bit slow initially, caught up and was expanding to more resource sites and had a somewhat sized army composition, while the Terran had 30+ workers on one mineral patch and wasn't expanding at all apart from later in the game.

@@menelik6652 I'm still getting to grips with stuff since I bought the full game at Christmas Time and had mostly been playing the Co-Op mode. I'm mostly scared because of how fast people are able to amass their stuff, all the micro and how fast people can assign control groups and all sorts of that stuff. At most, I can do the basics haha.

6:44 the decision to not bile down SCVs is actually a 300 IQ move: those barracks and SCVs serve no purpose at this point of a game, and by not destroying SCVs Amarth actually forces terrain to spend minerals on repair. Outstanding move!

I like how you summarize that in a star craft game, the skill set is usually splited into (4 or more) categories. And often, Diamond/Gold league players pick up a few skill sets, but not all of them. That explains why "CmdrJay" was micro-ing, but bad on expand or even on saturating the mineral and gas. Too often, we watch the pro league and forget that even in the pro league, there is a big gap between pro tier A and pro tier B... we really have to tone down the expectation for Diamond/Gold league replay. Great cast.... I am hoping for more. Maybe the master league? I will lower my expectation; I know they are not PROs. :)

I think the skill range in Diamond is the greatest in the game. The upper limit in EU is around 4440 MMR and the floor is 3280. That is such a huge difference within one league. So I'm not surprised that these guys are in low diamond.

I have not play 7 years, I recently played few games and I was assigned in Gold, so I think to get to the diamond it isn't too. Most of time I lost because I had no idea where are the buildings/upgrades/units that I wanted :P

I think people forget games like this are exceptions, not the rule. The reason why this looks like lower rankings is this is most likely something they don't see as much. A game like this is usually every couple hundred games, so people forget how normal diamond league games go. Everyone has games like this, just the higher you go the less often it happens.

Even if the Terran lost, he taught me a good way to architect a bunker rush on this map to deny that second hatch. His mistake I think is sending 4 scv. That's too much if he sent 4 scv better then to just 4 proxy rax then all in scv pull. If not, then send 3 scv then plug the small path with barracks not a depot and then same 2 rax upstairs.
