Lowko coaching: you may wish to prioritize larva injects over creep spread. The early game depends on higher larva count. Winter coaching: Quit #!@% spreading creep with your #!%& queens and keep them near their hatcheries!!!

This really makes me want to hop back on the ladder and give it a try :) One quick aside that is another good tip (even though it was already too late for him by then) is that near the end of that second game, he started lv3 melee and missile weapons while under a lot of pressure from the Protoss army. It may not seem significant, but these upgrades are a fairly big investment, and when you're fighting for survival like that, it's crucial to delay those upgrades a little and squeeze out every last bit of army that you can. Then you can start them back up once you've stabilized a little. Of course, that's a much easier call to make when you're a viewer and you can see both sides!

That is a really helpfull video Lowko, keeping this one! I really like how you focus here on what youb should be doing here a certain points in the game. They compare you with Winter, I like Winter, but Winter has less patience pointing all thing out he is more freestyle, have fun. We need something of you both.

Great comment!! High plat zerg here (Europe). Vs Protoss I play almost only roach + hydra now.. Sit back, defend early agression, I build upgraded roaches and hydras as fast as I can with +1 +1 upgrade and with better macro than your oponent this is very probable win.. Only cases when I start build bane nest and produce mass lings and try to beat him as quickly as possible is when I see fast third and/or tendency to build skytoss army.

Hey lowko,i have an interesting question.3 years ago when the expansion is heart of the swarm and sc2 was huge i watched almost every pro match and was really passionate about the game.With a lot of grinding i managed to finally get to plat and was proud.Then i stopped the game and the scandals happened so i didnt touch starcraft for a long time.then a friend suggested we play 1v1s while waiting for someone and it was really fun so we played for a few days and i decided to buy the game and play my placements,after quitting the game for 3 years and got p1:Do you think the average skill of the player base has gone down from 3 years ago?Not the pros,just the average players.You've coached people so i think your opinion is valid here.

What's the easiest way to keep track of and execute the Queen injects across multiple bases?
@arthopodarena60627 жыл бұрын
It's best to learn to keep track of it in your head. Queen should inject every ~40 seconds. But just cycling through the bases with whatever hotkey you have that set with every minute or so should be enough for a developing player. If you do this enough, eventually you'll just gain the ability to know when an inject is needed. It's important to have your queens in a control group too. I do my injects through the minimap so I can focus more on micro/harassment, but it's not best practice.
@pavlik7867 жыл бұрын
Is it necessary to have 70 workers in lower leagues? To drone to 70 drones before creating bigger army? I play mid/high plat now and vs protoss, I drone to 55-60 workers (max) and then I stat to upgrade roaches and hydras (+1 +1 and roach and hydra upgrades) and produce roaches and hydras (it also depends on oponentn's army composition) and while upgrades are finishing try to go to kill him... If I have solid macro, I am able to produce more army than my oponent at this point.. When he tries to kill me before it, I try to defend, but if I try to build more drones and play to hive tech - he tends to build bigger and stronger toss army (with templars and storm) and this is easier for him then (usually he has then stronger army, while I dont have for example broodies yet). So to my opinion the best way in plat is try to kill him in mid game before he gets strong and maxed out army.. Additionally vs.too greedy oponents like in 2nd replayed game here, I add 2nd gas and start to +1 ling upgrade, mass lings + banes and try deny his 3rd or to kill him, when he has weak defense (this is usually win, because he does not have usually army at this point, droplords are usefull too to haras in his main).

Lowko, I think you should first play the whole replay, maybe speed up some parts, talk about it without any pauses. And then go back and talk about specific moments. Otherwise the viewer cannot see the bigger picture like you can.
@estellebright25797 жыл бұрын
Eduard Georgiev the thing is, when early game is bad, it is very rough for a player to gain any advantage later on or even winning the game if the opponent is doing a great job on keeping everything on point.

Is it weird that I play Protoss like a Zerg player? Cause I'm Diamond 1..........
@ringo1m7 жыл бұрын
He should've switch tech after he sees high templars and archons ... you don't go zergling baneling hydras into that, unless you have a maxed out army and a sizable resources behind it. I do think that the ideas of "meta" is a bit too strong with him and he should produce a more variety of units in this case. maybe lurker bait ? maybe ultralisks ? and with that much minerals with no larvas, even roaches would be good in this composition. idk ... game 2 when i saw the Toss go 3 base start (and he scouted it), "greedy protoss" comes into my mind and he should focus on pure harassment while building up his base (dropperlords, roach burrows, quick mutas) and not to try to fight the 3 base Protoss with 3.5 base Zerg.
@lhvinny7 жыл бұрын
ringo1m I was thinking along the same lines. Seeing those gateways and the early robot tells me, "okay, I am going to see some stalker/immortal action." This makes me want to switch to roaches and counter push with roach/muta or roach/hydra.
@ringo1m7 жыл бұрын
but .. if you see immortals ... you don't go roaches though D: ... (usually early robo means warp gate push and not immortals)

Stop telling us how they each could have win tje game. Its pointless. Think about it. You can say anything. Protoss could have won at 2 minutes of he would have cannon rushed. Zwrg cpuld have won if he 12 spawnpooled and the protoss didnt build zealots in time. Zerg could win of he had ultralisks right now and prottoss easnt ready.
