Lowline Angus... Lawnmowers - And Electric Fence-Line Calf Weaning

In this video I use the cows to get the lawn under control. I also separate out the calves for weaning. In this case, I'm going to try fence line weaning using electric fence.

Wean calves at full moon in a tight corral for a couple weeks, u will have determined cows trying to back to the calves, a light in the weaning area also helps, they look young??

Mostly. The majority of the cows are fall calvers, but I do have a couple spring cows. There may be a couple months here and there that I pull him out, but that's just to keep him from breeding them too early.

Why do you call them Lowline Angus. "LOWLINE" IS THE BREED NAME.

The breed name is actually American Aberdeen. Lowline Angus is a common search term for the breed.

@1qa827 American Aberdeen are the offspring of Australian Lowlines that were imported to the US. The name was changed by the association to American Aberdeen a few years ago. Many people in the US call them Lowline Angus because of the genetic history of the breed that goes back to the Angus cattle imported to Australia from Canada, which were used to develop the breed.
