I will be making more specific videos on these units and putting up better screenshots in those videos as well. These screenshots don't quite show what this unit is capable of. I am extremely happy with these units and look forward to learning even more about them as I dial them in.

How about some type of indication on the screen what you are talking about. I'm new to this and you are simply showing a screen and saying there is a school of baitfish coming or there is a laydown. In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens kzbin.infoUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

We need more info on these elite ti2 with 3&1 active imaging. I would take lowrance software and features over humminbird any day, especially with the multi screen option (with tablet/phone/2nd unit), but the image seems to be a bit behind helix 7-9 gen3 still. A lot of people said that with the new 3&1 active imaging transducer, elite ti2 and helix images are on the same level, but to me megaside imaging seems more define and cleaner than side imaging on lowrance. Hope you put some more info on sonar soon. I'm still hoping for someone to do a proper helix/elite ti2 comparaison on the water.

TerrificFlow Mega+ imaging is more cleaner/clearer then Active Imaging........you can’t compare 800 to 1200+ kHz, Hummingbird wins hands down when it comes to image quality

Great vid!! I just got two of these units, do you know why temp doesn’t show up on all the screens ? It shows up on let’s say sonar but not side scan and I added temp to all the screens ?

That has to do with data sources, my next video will be non this subject. If you add temp as an overlay and you see --- the go back into where you added temp, to the right is a blue down arrow and that will have data sources, select current unit.

So with this unit I can interface with my motorguide XI5? If I see a spot I want to fish, I can touch the screen and I can tell the xi5 to go to that waypoint?

I believe you could assuming you had the NMEA2K system installed. But double check that because I am not well versed on the XI5.

Yes, with a NMEA network. Works great! I have 2 Ti2's with my Xi5. Plug in your NMEA, power the Xi5, and then your Ti2 unit and everything will autoconfigure.

The start up time is of no concern, doesn't take long at all. Fish on side scan are ok, easy to see groups of fish but individual fish can be tricky. If you know what you're looking for then it works well.

You can adjust the brightness, it is plenty bright in person, the camera didnt do it justice. 11B huh? I'm a 12B currently 👍

Having difficulty seeing the fish shadows you mentioned. Can you post a photo

Doesn't look like I can post a photo. The images I am talking over ended up being different photos than I was referring too because of a SD card error. But fish and their shadows on the bottom (look like small dark grains of rice on the bottom generally) are visible fairly easy on these units. It is not as clear as Mega imaging realistically but given the images I can get and the ease of use/touch screen I am very happy with these untis.

Stanavich Fishing thanks for responding. I’m a newbie to electronics and more often than not I can’t distinguish fish from rocks. Thinking about finding a guide to go out on the water with me.

@@boyce504 a guide could help but I would suggest watching "fish the moment" videos on electronics first. A rule of thumb is that rock shadows will be connected to the rock (because its sitting on bottom) fish shadows will be separated from the fish (a little means fish is close to the bottom, a lot of separation means fish are suspended higher). Where do you have the transducer mounted on the back of the boat?

About 1 inch above the center pad so I do not get a reading while running but it is protected and does not interfere with water flow to my engine.

@@Clublevelexpert I have a 1997 17' Nitro and I just bought the Elite 7 ti2. I am trying to figure out where to mount the transducer.

Hard to show you without pictures, there are plenty of images of how to mount transducers on Google. Biggest thing is that it sits level left to right and front to rear while the boat is in the water.

You don't need the 3 in 1 transducer necessarily, I believe the total scan and possibly LSS2 will also do side scan for these units 👍
