Lowrance HDS Live Overlays for Off Road Navigation

My prefered data overlays for recreational riding and how I set it up. I have been asked many times over the years how I like to have my GPS setup.. and today I"ll show you exactly that, how I use it, and how you can import my settings file so save you a little time from configuring it all yourself.
In addition to the Speed over ground that is on the screen by default, we all the UTV Belt Temp, Steer Arrow, Destination, Distance to Destination, Trip Distance, Trip Max Speed, Time, and Voltage. I also breifly do an overview of various display and configuration options.

Hi, so I bought the Lowrance elite FS9. I know a number of us off road people have purchased this GPS. Is there anyone that can please start producing videos on how to use it. I know these are not really set up for off road, more for fishing. But please help us with more how to videos for the 9. As so many of your videos are about the 7 which doesn’t have the same buttons or options. Thank you!

hello great video In my Lowrance the cursor option does not appear, it is as if it were deactivated, when I press on the screen it does not select anything, is it deactivated?

Which lowrance do you have? Maybe the touch screen is locked ?

Is there a way to make it to where it shows which direction to go with that arrow when your on a race course ? We race with d38 in plaster city area and during night races it’s difficult to see the marker flags that they setup on the race course because people knock them over on accident etc during the race. so we want to use it to record the first lap and then use it to follow the course for the remaining laps is there any suggestions for that ? Thanks

Excellent question, yes you can do this. It's the steps needed to navigate along a route. I'll need to do a video on this. When is your next race?

@@RuggedRoutes my next race is on the 18th it’s the first race of the season. We don’t know where the race course is until we actually race the first lap and I was just wanting to know how to be able to record that first lap so I can more easily navigate the 2nd and third and fourth laps because when we race a lot markers get knocked over throughout the race and sometimes it can cause us to get lost especially at night

@@k8singh yes once its recorded, you can convert a trail into a route, then ha e it navigate along that route.

@@k8singh I don't beleive so, however, in the TrailMark will work with the Elite FS Series when it gets released.

I’m going to buy the HDS 9 live. What do I need to do to make this work for SXS gps? I’m going to install it in my 2022 Maverick X3.

@@RuggedRoutes I have no clue on the capabilities of the HDS live units apply to off road applications. I wasn’t sure if maps were already installed or I needed to buy SD cards with maps loaded on them. I’m also trying to figure out how to hook up a rear view camera and an iPhone.

@@soonermike4 maps are on sd cards which are separate and sold on ruggedroutes.com There are 2 ways to do rear view cameras. I'll need to make a video for that. What are you trying to accomplish by connecting your iPhone?
