He is the classic example of the best player he knows... he is from a time when most fighters didn't have online so he could only play people he knew. Fighting games have historically been the least popular genre because they are hella hard to learn and give you no one to blame but yourself... so he was always the best out of his group of friends he probably wrecked people at house parties etc because he has a surface level understanding of fighting games... but once they all started being online and he started playing other people who liked fighters he went further and further down the ladder... that made him bitter because he couldn't cope with the fact that other people could be better or have a higher understanding of the games... so he refuses to see the fault in himself and blames everything else. Thats the kryptonite to any fighting game player... any player who refuses to hold the L and look for the fault in their gameplay will never improve... you are a full cup and have no room for filling up with more knowledge.... fighting games are a series of interactions, in theory if you learn the answer to every interaction you would never lose but you have to admit you don't know the answer in order to learn the answer thus not falling for that situation anymore. The most important thing to improve is keeping a level head and learning as much as you can.
