I don't understand this guy. I haven't played Tekken since Tekken Tag on the PS2. I just bought Tekken 8 on the steam sale. I probably played 35ish ranked matches and have 80k prowess and passed Dominator (can't remember which one I am after) and still feel like I curb stomp people. Even when I get matched up with a 350k prowess player in quick match, I have won a couple or almost win and don't even fully understand Jin yet. Today I learned how to block most lows on Lily, Asuka and King. This dude couldn't even 1,2 his way out of a corner. It's like he doesn't grasp the concept of the game. I'm even telling myself "oh, that was a nice counter". And I avoid it next time. This dude just runs into a buzzsaw like he has amnesia....
