Instead of talking about OITNB, Let's talk about the artist here. LP does fantastic work in this song and video. This is a LIVE session people! There are not too many artists that can sound Better if not the same as a recorded session. The range in her voice is phenomenal. She not only sings the song but feels it. Watch how she walks away from the mic, for a fade effect. This video/LIVE session is outstanding. You do not get enough credit LP.

Music used to be my everything till I fell in such a deep depression, and the most horrific thing happened....Music stopped for me, it didn't mean anything to me anymore, the words and melody and beats just passed me by like a zombie trapped in her tomb....And then LP happened and I felt myself breathing air again and hearing once more the words of poetry making my weak heart beat again. And for that I can only thank you. Although the chances are scarce that you would see this post. I would just like to put it out there anyway. Thank you

What I noticed about every real singer, is that they always “feel it” after every song that they sing. They feel it so much, that they pause and devour the emotion and energy from the song. It shows an artist’s true and utter devotion to their creations, along with the real ness of the artist-> a true artist. All In all-> its a good sign that an artist has artist spasms👌🏽😊.

she's singing to a completely different plain. her voice is definitely crossing into other dimensions, blindsiding people with emotions not knowing where they came from. simply magical

I've only just been introduced to LP's music by my friend and I'm honestly obsessed! That voice is incredible! Gives me chills, and one of the only artists I've ever heard who sounds better live than in a studio, it has more soul to it!
@fredmichaels4182 жыл бұрын
Which tells us that she should be Produced by better people ; that, or the production people she has need to Listen to her live and figure out wht the fk they are getting wrong !!
@iamV100102 жыл бұрын
@@fredmichaels418 I mean maybe? But I think it is more about the magic that only a life performance can invoke. She shines live because it is not some means to an end mission. When singing live there is so much energy feeding back into her. She is lost in the beauty of it all. She closes her eyes when she sings. She feels every note.
@fredmichaels418 Жыл бұрын
@@iamV10010 I take your point, and Well Said ; but we can all point to comments like her Live work sounds so much " More " ( insert your own descriptor Here ) . I still think the Production Staff need to heed the comments about LP's concert work sounding better than the studio .

[Verse 1] We are kneeling at the rivers edge and tempting All the steps to follow closer right behind Is it only when you feel a part is empty That it’s gnawing at the corners of your mind [Pre-Chorus] I will ask you for mercy I will come to you blind What you’ll see is the worst me Not the last of my kind [Chorus] In the muddy water we’re falling In the muddy water we’re crawling Hold me down Hold me now Sold me out In the muddy waters we’re falling [Verse 2] It is not clear why we choose the fire pathway Where we end is not the way that we had planned All the spirits gather 'round like its our last day To get across you know we’ll have to raise the sand [Pre-Chorus] I will ask you for mercy I will come to you blind What you’ll see is the worst me I'm not the last of my kind [Chorus] In the muddy water we’re falling In the muddy water we’re crawling Holds me down Hold me now Sold me out In the muddy water we’re falling (falling, falling, falling...) [Bridge] Don’t fail me now Put your arms around me and pull me out I know I’m found With your arms around me, oh save me now [Chorus] In the muddy water we’re falling In the muddy water we’re crawling Holds me down Hold me now Sold me out In the muddy water we’re falling
