everyone is the right amount of 'rated'. if she was rated higher, her music wouldn't be better as consequence. there are an amount of people out there whom would love her music but haven't heard yet. that's true. truth just is, a certain amount enjoys her music, another certain amount pass. and that's alright. amongst many reason, she isn't rated 'higher' because her music is difficult to relate to in a very magical positive way. it's like not understanding love song when a listener is a teenager. LP's listeners, the ones whom really relates to her music are likely older than 25. the way the music industry is shaped, young people makes up a higher proportion of listeners, they have more free time as consumers. Young people without jobs but have an accessible income shapes many industry as a proportionally higher consumer in comparison to 25 years old for example. summary: because many young people relates more to Taylor Swift. Not to say Swift is a bad artist. They're all just different and creating different type of music for whatever audience that may want to listen. LP is certainly one of my favorite artist. Adele and Florence are also amongst the pantheon, but I would describe Adele and Florence as exceptional while LP is magical. To me, personally, LP is able to express her songs in such manner that allows me the listener to have such a high feeling of enjoying her music. Adele and Florence music are amazing, but they don't give me this amount of pleasure. Which is subjective of course to the individual listeners.

@@finalform4971 I don't think there is much audience who wouldn't like her music. To be honest, I don't think she's promoted enough that's why. If they played her music on radios, in ads or had her music recommended on the front page of KZbin, more people would see it. I don't think a lot of people know her to begin with. Promotion kind of comes first above music. There are so many artists who are amazing, just not promoted everywhere so people just don't find access to that music.

@@finalform4971 I can't relate to Taylor Swift or a host of other super popular singers. Less than 2 months ago LPs Tightrope vid popped up. I'd never heard of her but loved the song. Since then I've been listening to her other songs. You're right....there's something "magical" about the songs and her as a singer. I just can't put my finger on what that magic is. I'm not young and have heard a zillion songs but few have touched me the way her songs have.

She is on the rise and in my opinion sometime in the future will make a huge breakthrough to become a worldwide star. Definitely my fav artist of the last 30 years and the best I have seen live since the 1980's. Give her time !
