This could finally be the week that Jeeno closes the win. She's such a talented golfer, which is why she's had a lot of top 10s, but it's her final round average that gets her every time. Her scoring average for the first three rounds is one of the top on tour, but she ranks 26th in final round average. I'm suspecting that having Yin in the final group will help settle her down. Always nice to play with friends. Of course, there's Ryu in contention again. Such an underrated player this year. Number one in birdies and ball striking will always give you a chance to win. 🤙

A bit ironic that Jeeno hasn't been quite as strong in 4th rounds considering that in her rookie season as a teenager it was actually one of her strong suits. She gained a bit of a reputation in those days of chasing down the field on Sundays from 5+ strokes back to make things interesting. I guess playing from behind as a free spirited teenager, and playing from atop when you haven't seen the winner's circle for a while are just different mindsets in elite level golf. But playing alongside Ronni may be a double edged sword. Sure there's a comfort level there, but there's also the matter of having to do battle against a confident assassin on the course during crunch-time. I wouldn't be surprised to see this one go to a playoff like last year.

@@pilgrim1548 That's a great point. I really only started watching this season, but I'm sure it's a different mindset when you're a rookie vs a seasoned pro. I think it will be close and that last group should be fun to watch.

I can see how the top tier players would want to play this Maybank tournament. It's a fantastic tropical atmosphere with one of the top non-major purses on tour, plus it's a no-cut limited field where they award the best aesthetically looking trophy prize in all of golf!🐯

Yeah, I remember that trophy from last year with Celine Boutier. Sharp looking trophy indeed! Great venue for the tour, although tough to compete against the Yankees/Dodgers World Series in terms of ratings.
