A nice build James. I agree on the open cockpit. This said I am as guilty as many in using shading, shadowing,washes and filters etc on cockpits but in reality it is almost impossible to see much detail of the cockpit on the finished model. You need ideal lighting, and for me, my magnifiers. Still I guess its an "I know its there" sort of thing, like hidden detail parts

Hey James !!! I ordered this kit last week at one of my local store in Canada. Not only I felt in love with the Bf-109 aircraft but also I noticed this special édition was backordered everywhere. I placed my order immediately. And two days ago I discover your latest videos showing building, painting and wheathering this precise kit !!! There must be some stars aligned in the perfect way to make that happened !!! (I took no more risk and ordered the other Eduard Dual Bf-109 Special Edition kits 🤗🤗😊😋). Silly hein ?

I've started this kit a while ago and I think its weak point are the underwing radiators... They stand too proud of the wing surface. I had to do some plastic surgery in order to get them sit flush. The Bf109s are a great painting canvas so I am looking forward to finding out which one you'll choose! 🙂 (I've started three at once because of that, actually 😁.)
@lpjmodels3 жыл бұрын
They do 100% I had a lazy moment and left mine 😅 As I like non standard paint schemes where possible I ended up with one that isn't grey/green. For the F2 I was thinking the box art one looks like a challenge but that's a long way off yet
@LoPigs-q8e3 жыл бұрын
a good job, as always. congratulations. But the question I always ask myself is, is it really worth it? a lot of time, energy, materials and tools spent on the interiors. and then not even see them when the model is finished. I hope that at least each of your models is accompanied by a large photo gallery, otherwise what's the point? ok, I understand the pleasure of doing a job well done. I feel the same, but at least the tanks with interiors can be disassembled to show the details. but a plane? I hope that sooner or later they will invent a way to magnetically connect the parts, so at least half the fuselage can be opened to admire the interior. who knows ... in the meantime, I still congratulate you. best, Alessandro
@lpjmodels3 жыл бұрын
I think its always worth the effort. Otherwise through the glass it wouldn't match the exterior :)
@supercededman3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Alex, I get what you mean. Tamiya have at least shown the way to partly solving this issue by introducting micro magnets to cowlings. See their 109G6 engine cowling, for example.
