Sir I have a problem.. In my book there is a minimisation problem.. But they are using S1 AND S2 as surplus variables and A1 and A2 as artificial variables.. If i would have done this with ur method thn from only one chart the optimal level is reached but frm this method i have to make 4 iteration.. So how will i know whn to use 4 different variables

If the subjective constraint are less than or equal to then we must add slack variables. If the subjective constraint is greater than or equal to then subract with surplus variable and add artificial variable

multiply the constraint with (-1) and convert it into a less than or equal to. PS: multiply (-1) on both sides of equation
