the calico patterns are based on dilute calicos! thats why it’s gray and orange rather than black/brown and orange

I personally LOVE the collie. By far my most wanted gen 7 pet. She looks almost identical to my childhood Webkinz collie so this is basically an LPS version.

It looks like the ladybug's eyes are oversized for the mold, I've seen something similar on some of the Wave 3 blind box pets. I personally really hate it and hope they stop doing it because when they make the eyes sooo huge compared to the size of the molded eyes they just look bizarre 😭 Also the "oh!..." when you opened the collie LMAOOOO

I think the bleeding paint with the look-alike pets was supposed to be airbrushing! Kinda similar with the Collie where they poorly airbrushed over a painted area

the eyes have been a running issue, like the design tho i do hope they fix this issue going forward! i haven't gotten my hands on the wave 3 pets yet so, love the video

I don’t have a problem with any of them! I think the collie is absolutely gorgeous like I just love her! I also like the Scottish fold kitten because I’ve been craving a generation two style Scottish fold

For a while, the GameStop website had the normal pet pair packs in the photos on their website. They weren’t available to purchase and they have since been removed from the site but they were definitely the traditional pet pair packagings. I’m hoping that means they will be getting them with the traditional packaging!

I know for a fact that Britain will have the original version because they have a ban on under age gambling (not like how it’s everywhere else like anything unknown is considered gambling) so that technically includes blind boxes

I think the reason behind the "blind" pet pairs is due to some states starting a ban on unnecessary plastic from packages. I know in California, where I live, these peanut butter crackers which used to be covered in plastic packaging is now just a full cardboard box. Also the ladybug's eyes aren't bigger. Her lashes are simply really thick at the top so they look more like an oval.

I agree with you nearly 100%! 💗 I compared the new G7 Collie to a gray G2 Collie and the head overall looks smaller making the eyes smaller and closer together which is definitley a let down. I also don’t appreciate the deep lines in certain molds like the Collie and the Spaniel where they look like two halves glued together 🙃 (You’ll see this with the capybara as well and some others..) I love the Lady Bug but yes those eyes are almost as concerning as the new short hair cat 😅 The new Scottish fold looks super derpy but cute so I can let it go this time just hope it’s not a recurring theme!! My final comment is - OMG. The hermit crab might be my favorite from this wave overall. I love when Basic Fun uses original molds and makes hardly any changes - and uses realistic colors 😉❤️ Sea creatures, birds, and bugs are the perfect place to use bright colors and it still looks realistic! Cats, dogs, Capybaras!!!, Farm animals etc would look best in realistic colors!! Overall I’m SUPER impressed with Basic Fun and how much feedback they’ve really taken into account!!! And of course love your videos so happy you’re an ambassador again this year! 🩵

I love love love the new wave 3 pets. I got quite a few today at my local Target. I opened them and agree the Collie does have small eyes, and some paint flaws with them bleeding through but not too big of a deal. I did get the short hair cat from the diner dash set and feel like the white gradient around her face is a little grainy but overall very cute pets. Biggest complaint I have is the blind packaging for the tubes and pet pairs. Hopefully they will go back to the window display design. I also feel like the spaniel from the pet pair is a bit too shiny.

People from the US are really lucky when it comes to toys. Where I live, toys don't change. We're stuck with the same ones. Dolls, lps, any toy. In the lps area, there are still the same blind boxes nothing new. And people take advantage of this and sell them on ebay for more money. Same with barbies. They're so expensive :< It's great that they're back though.

Unpopular opinion: Absolutely love the new main 5 designs but I DESPISE... like DESPISE the new molds. The new molds got rid of so much definition and changes so much, and ive seen the shorthairs and their faces are BUTCHERED. All the new molds just look like they've been based on fakes and it actually makes me SO SAD and im losing hope. Basic fun please just go back to the old molds I BEG.

RAHH I NEED ALL THE PET PAIRS i am a little disapointed with the collie as well, the gradient, mold, and the more-than-usual grainy eyes are kind of a let down. Its even worse when you put it next to a g2,, ToT I love the colors and i still really like the pet, i just wish the execution was a bit better!
