The Eliminator 3 was very easy to use and showed the yardage, the full value wind adjustment in the upper right and adjusts for any angle. After ranging the laser gives you a red dot so you simply hold on and squeeze. Ernie has already called Berger and they are going to check for performance. Hope you enjoyed the video.

Ernie and I have hunted together for a couple of years. I lent my specialty pistol to my son in NM to hunt Ibex and Ernie offered me his 6.5x47 with the new eliminator 3 scope and of course I was more than willing to take him up on the offer. we set up on the buck at 480 yards with the wind in our face. First shot hit the buck through the V in the throat and exited out the left hind quarter. the bullet pin-holed even left a hole in the diaphragm the size of the bullet and a>>>>>

I made a mistake in describing the rifle. It is NOT a Shilen barrel, but a 24" Chrome-Moly Krieger 1-8T. I have no clue why I said that, as I have not had a Shilen barrel for a long time.

Pretty sure I'm selling mu Bushnell Elite LRTS 4.5 - 18 x 44 with illuminated G3 small Xmas tree reticle and getting a new "6". BTW, my G3 reticle is TOTALLY illuminated including the Xmas tree, not just a center dot. Love it.@@xphunter24

I liked your hunt. However, I must say that was some poor shooting. I am not saying it was you, but maybe your caliber or your scope. That should have been an easy shot for an experienced long range shooter. I would recommend to practice on paper to find out what was the problem: the scope or your skills.

ardnfast, large animals don't typically drop dead in their tracks unless you use a very sizable caliber like .338 Lapua, .408, .416, .50.......but the larger you go the more meat that comes flying out the other side. That animal is dead before it felt the hit.

exit wound the size of dime. The second shot missed just under the buck but he stumbled due to the report and being hit on the first shot. He went over the hill and laid down. We thought he was dead but as we approached him he stood up and walked away. I shot him just below the ear the last shot at 126 yards.

Why post a video that shows the animal suffering for such an extended period of time? Maybe stalk to within your capabilities and not those of the rifle and scope you are using. Better shooting next time - for you and your prey.

By natures standards this is the easiest way the animal could be killed. It's a way better death than any predator would give it. It may seem brutal to someone who doesnt understand hunting but it truly is the most ethical way they can die
