LR3 Control Arm Bushing Replacement

The lower control arm bushings are a common failure point on the LandRover Discovery 3/4. Replacing the entire arm is the easiest way to repair the issue, but replacing the OEM bushings in the most cost effective if you have a bit of time to burn.

Great footage and explanation of the process. Looking to do the same thing myself. Be cool if there was a way to press it in while hanging on the car so you don't have to unhook everything else.

Cheers. Technically you could press in poly bushings without removing the arm, the harder part would be removing the old worn OEM ones. For what it's worth I would just pull out the whole arm. Much nicer working on a bench

On light brake application there was a very notable shake in the wheel. This is likely due to a slight warp in the rotor being exaggerated buy the worn bushings.

Use a light with your camera , saw only shadows of the interior. Thks

Hi Belu-Store, perhaps in the future I will be able to invest in better lighting for recording. Unfortunately for now all I have are a few small LED work lights which at times get over powered by the garage lighting.

Hi Ahmed, I can't remember off hand exactly how long, but I think it was in the 3-4 hour range.
