I think it is funny that most people refer to original road names long after they are renamed e.g. Buendia which was renamed Gil Puyat Avenue 5.10 years ago! Used to use the LRT regularly back in the 90's visiting a factory in Caloocan (5th Ave), and later to Doroteo Jose 17:41 to catch the Philippine Rabbit to Angeles City. Doroteo is also the link station for LRT 2 line to Cubao. Tayuman 20:34 is where you get off to go to Tutuban PNR Station where the new Manila - Clark line is being re-instated. R Papa 25:02 is for the stop for visiting the Chinese Cemetary which you passed by. Monumento was the end of the line for the Victory Liner terminal for Dau Mabalacat - Baguio, and Subic Bay. Sorry for the guided tour!

Haha yeah I'm guilty of that, too! I guess everyone is just more used to it and they're more familiar with the word Buendia than Gil Puyat. Not to mention it's easier and shorter to say the former. 😃
