Drutut and ls dynamic is so great to witness. Honestly hes exactly the kind of friend ls needs. serious comment but i dont get why LS hates collector so much, the 5% execute is so disgusting in alot of situations and theres no way to play around it except dodging that last auto w hourglass effect or so

the jist of it is, there's probably a tank on the enemy team so LDR is better, as its your job as an ADC to hit whoever's in front of you. If there's no tanks, there's probably a legendary item they'll buy that will give then armor anyway. If not, sure whatever, go collector. If you're losing or even, collector will be inferior since you're probably not bringing them down to low HP thresholds (I actually disagree with this one though, since I think if you're losing against a non-tanky team, I think 'go hard or go home' and buying a collector is a or the only valid strategy when losing.) If you're winning, LDR alone will keep you one item ahead in their defensive itemization.
