LS Swap Saturn Sky - Day 2: Prep Work and Engine Install

Continuing on with our Saturn LS swap. We show the process of installing the transmission adapter, the clutch and the motor mounts. Lastly, we set the LS engine into the engine bay.

NiCe adapter plate, I used Kenady Enginering, for my Porsche 914 LS1 swap, very simple as long as I stayed up on my homework, came out beautiful I can not wait to see this one run ,Sky will have a lit smile on his face Forever #PoTecH #1~🏁

Very interested in the install but why would you even think about using a transmission that could barely handle a stock ls motor and you guys are putting out over 500hp. This thing probably won't get down the block without blowing itself apart. Can't wait for the update.

Pretty cool to see you guys showing the details on this swap! If I blow up my little Ecotech I plan on doing some sort of LS swap in my Redline. Ya'll should check out , "John's Sky Redline V8 Swap/Makeover" kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKKcc6iwg7eWabM . He did a really sweet LSA swap and huge upgrades to his Redline a few years back that makes me drool. There's a few body brace upgrades I would highly recommend from DDM-Works for these Kappa chassis as well as a 6 piston Willwood big brake kit and better coilovers. which I've done and the car handles so much better! Keep up the videos... : )

What coil overs and describe the ride please I have an 07 gxp and the ride is so stiff it's unpleasant at times.

@@transam790 I bought BC coil overs the "DS series" they come with a #7 spring weight which can feel a bit stiff, but I do some autocross so it's needed. you can order softer springs and remember the gxp/redline cars have stiffer suspension from the factory as well.

We don’t do customers cars, only our projects. If I had to guess someone probably would charge in the $8-10k range for labor. Then add parts.
