I truly enjoyed the back story why you wanted this car. The time you spent wenching on it with your dad is priceless. I also have the first car I bought back in January of 1979 a Chevy Malibu . It has not been a daily driver since 1991. Time goes by children grow up parents leave us . When I drive or work on it yesterday becomes today. Sometimes the past makes the present easier. I shared all that with you because I believe you get it. Enjoy Mark

I hope I can do the same with my son, and make memories with him with this same car someday. I get exactly what your saying in this comment. Any shop that works with hydraulic hoses should be able to press them for you. The air intake honestly I don't know where it was bought, or the brand. It was a piece one of my buddies had, and we cut it to fit. I do know I went with a K&N air filter, because I bought it myself. Are the LED headlights plug in play? If so where did you get them? I bought a 83 regal and ls swapping it and will be giving it to give it to my daughter for her quinceñera she loved it since I bought 3 years ago
@CutlassVibes7 ай бұрын
Yes, sir, they are literally plug and play. I got them from Hector Vega, and you can reach him on facebook: RMS LIGHTING & ACCESSORIES, Instagram: RMSLIGHTING, and/or at WWW.RMSLIGHTING.NET That is very cool that your daughter loves a car like the awesome G-Body. I really enjoy my LED headlights. I can actually see at night now. Thanks for the comment and for watching Cutlass Vibes.

@CutlassVibes2 жыл бұрын
That's cool that you have a 1987! I had a 2004r on mine and it worked just fine...if your just going to drive it around it will work. Now if you are going to hammer it alot then I would go with a 700 r4 or even better a level 2 or 3 700 r4 then you can beat on it and have some fun!

I understand....that transmission would work great for a daily driver all year round. I wouldn't trust it to well to race or peel out too often. That's just my opinion of course....you sure can try it and give it a shot! A built 700r4 takes alot more beating. Just a little info...let me know what you decide and how it does. @CutlassVibes2 ай бұрын
The part number is RCG-700, which will say 1978-1988 G-body crossmember 700R4. G-Force also recommends a polyurethane transmission mount....part number GMTM. I hope this helps, and thanks for watching Cutlass Vibes.

Put a sump on it with a return line
@CutlassVibes2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment. I learned that the Holley kit I installed regulates the pressure internally, and it returns excess fuel within the tank. So all I need to do is go directly to a filter and straight to the engine and the other one is the vent. Hopefully I'll be doing that soon. Thanks for watching!

I totally agree with you for sure and if I was going to build another one I would do that exactly no doubt. The only reason I didn't do that is because this is my first car ever. My parents bought it for me when I was only 15 years old and it has alot of sentimental value for me. If it wasn't for that....heck I sure would of done exactly what you said.
