Probably a canbus controlled tachometer is my guess. You’d have to get an adapter to “talk” to the cluster (specifically the rpm gauge in this case) and most likely a signal converter to convert over the 8 pulses to 4 (for 4cyl) or to 6 pulses (for v6). At worst case you’d need both, at best case just a signal converter for the pulse conversion.

@@MJT-DA it’s honestly going to be more work than you expect. If you do ALL the labor yourself, you’d still be right around $8-10k. If you paid a shop, double that. Better off with an LS if you want a v8 platform as it’s more compact, cheaper, easier to modify and make power with, possibly lighter, and more support for wiring etc.
