I just picked up a 2020 l83 that has stuck oil rings but still ran well for $300 core price, 120k miles. Di is still under rated/under appreciated imho

I'm a LS guy just due to the price points, endless information, unlimited aftermarket, & its east to find a quality tuner almost anywhere. BUT... When you look at what places and people like -GPI -Prey Performance -Justin White are doing with some of these all motor 6th gen Camaros & C7s its mind boggling. Even just the HCI cars. Then some of those 416 cars are running with boosted cars. I have only seen a few stock block LS3 & LS7 builds be competitive with some of these new LT cars from the places and tuners who actually have them figured out. As far as real street car stuff goes. Seeing the guys mentioned above actually prove what the LTs are capable of kind of has changed my mind about which is better. LT won't replace LS builds until the prices come down, availability goes up, & more people actually take the time to lean how to tune LTs. A lot of people who were proficient at tuning the LS stuff seem to struggle with the LT stuff.

I threw away a L83 block, crank, piston’s a perfect head and a damaged head ( DI injector came apart ) because I couldn’t get anyone to even come pick it up. L83 also has gen4 LS rods so nothing amazing.

LTs have different oil galleries, different cylinder heads because the intake and exhaust valves are reversed from a LS, different firing order and the main reason why they haven't really blew up like LS is because LTs are way more expensive to build. Especially fuel components. That's the only reason 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲💪💪💪💪

Reminds me of the early days of LS when everything was still SBC biased. Took a pretty good while for them to really take off. I'm hoping the LT starts to get there, as it really does have some advantages in the block and head sealing. I know the valve train stability also seems tremendous.

Sounds biased. Lol

@@cameron878I know that I use a Holley on my TSP 427 C6 Z06 and a Haltech elite on my J32a2 tube chassis car and love the haltech much more for data acquisition and input/output control types over the Holley. I feel the Holley can do fantastic for anything just as much as a Haltech, but it comes down to your needs.
