I just installed a Cardo Talk Pack. Easy process, and there's no fit issue post installation. The preset indentations we're perfect. The only difference with the cardo is that it requires the sticker mounted bracket and not the clip on one they offer. LS3 Challenger is still a great, quiet helmet but now a bit louder when I have music going. Thanks for the video by the way.

I have the older Challenger. I hope this one isn't the same with wind noise, because it is brutal on the left side, where the sun visor lever is. Very loud whistling at speeds over 110 kmh. I'm moving on to a GT Air II next.

@Shalin I have ear plugs in and then it's "ok". The ear plugs I have do a really good job cutting out the noise. However, if I forget to put them in, I realize it quickly because the helmet basically screams at me. I hope they fixed the issue in the newer model.

I recently bought the new Challenger and experienced the same issue. Lot of wind noise on the left side but I am trying to isolate it to see if the intercom unit is causing it or the sun visor actuator. Although I ride a motorcycle without a windscreen so that adds to the noise as well but the uneven noise only on the left side is annoying. Sadly none of the reviewers do in depth usage experiences and just read specs.

Looks great and the specs are equally impressive. Looks difficult to mount an intercom system to for touring.

Can I use this helmet for track days? Or should I look at the Thunder Carbon with FIM certification?

Hello Martijn, This helmet has no FIM Certification which is becoming mandatory on more and more tracks. The Thunder Carbon has FIM Certified version if you want a track helmet!

Thank you Tarik. You should pick the helmet based on your personal preferences. They both performed excellent out on the road and the RPHA 71 performed just a little bit better compared to the Challenger Carbon.

Thank you for your question! The Challenger Carbon performed better on material and weight compared to the GT Air 2, and were on par on the ventilation. The GT Air 2 did better on the other parts in our road-test! Hope this helps in choosing your next helmet!

Idk what this guy thought you asked but the answer is yes, the visor covers your entire FOV. I own the challenger carbon and the visor was one of the first things I noticed. It's terrific.

Why does this helmet compete with sport-touring helmets and not race helmets?

Thank you for your question. Sport-Touring helmets are designed for longer rides and comfort and, almost always have an integrated sun visor. Race helmets are designed for racing and the focus is mainly on the weight and aerodynamics!
