I have 2 of them (White and the blue) for the past 1 1/2 years now, it’s a really good helmet. I drove 8 to 12 hours on them for some trip and I have expensive helmets too like shoei or bmw helmet. I drive those 2 helmets on GS so I have a good windshield, those helmets are really good for off roads or street ride. I drove over 100 mph and they are not noisier than my expensive ones. The reason why I stick to LS2 is simple, I am 5’7” 140pds, they offer smaller SHELL size than competitors. With their helmets I don’t look like an astronaut or a lollipop 🍭. I which they could make a high end finish helmets with small size shell. (those come in 3 sizes shell). I highly recommend those helmets, I found them 1 1/2 years ago for $90 each... Couldn’t resist. They don’t feel and looks like budget helmets, good job LS2👍

Hello, I'm planning on buying this helmet for touring and casual offroad, is it really not noisier than more expensive helmets? At 120km/h is it "ok"?
@ATasteofFreedom4 жыл бұрын
Me (Max) I can't compare. But it's in the nature of these kinds of helmets to be a bit noisy at high speeds.. The peak plays a role but also the priority on ventilation.. Have you already decided on a helmet? All the best!

Liked and subbed. Worth mentioning, this helmet is "long oval" shaped. This is the only shape type of helmet that I can wear. I wear Arai Signet-Q and I am now looking for dualsport helmet for my melon. It was great to see that you can easily fit prescription glasses, I wear those too. And I've seen on LS2 official website, they have now changed their line of Pioneer helmets. Thanks for the video, ride safe and have fun!

I am surprised you complain about the noise. I just came back from a 1300 km in Thailand. I found it to be perfectly quiet compared to the other helemts I use. I ride the Honda AT usually between 95 to 160 km/h with no issues. I also noticed your head is a bit skinny; my head is much wider which seals the front better and probably makes it much quieter for me. Fit and finish is gereat for my head.

Thx pal! :) I rode a 1993 Honda XR 600 R, mostly stock! I don't have any personal experience with the Givi X.01 but in my experience such modular helmets don't offer the same structural rigidity and therefore crash protection as conventional helmets. It's always a bit if a trade-off between flexibility and safety, only you can decide what's more important for yourself.

@ATasteofFreedom6 жыл бұрын
hey buddy, the new liner looks a bit like a micro fleece, whereas the old one looks less "pluschy" and has more of a honeycomb structure. A Taste of Freedom the honey come structures is meant to be some state of the art meteral that wicks and sweet away and helps keep your had dry, cool in summer and warm in winter... It has some technical name check the Forghtnine, or is it the revzilla, review, they mention it funny they would deleata feature that is used as a selling g point... But hopefully they fixed the stupid clips for the pads... Going to have to throw my helmet away after loving it for over a year as I cannot refit the pads..
@ATasteofFreedom6 жыл бұрын
Actually I'm not quite sure if they got rid of the honeycomb structure everywhere. At the back of my helmet (over my neck) there's a different kind of honeycomb structure (with bigger diameters, check out the official LS2 video to see what I mean: ls2helmets.com/nop/video/liner1494253327.mp4 ). So maybe they have kept that part. :) Btw, in the official video they don't show how to refit the cheek pads either, but as said before, applying force from the inside and outside of the helmet to just snap them back on without doing the "upwards" motion has worked fine for me! ;)

Lohnt sich der Helm für ein Mofa ?
@ATasteofFreedom7 жыл бұрын

I have abit rounded face. I got a size l and was very tight and hard to put on. So should an xxl fit me good? It's my first helmet
@ATasteofFreedom6 жыл бұрын
hey buddy, thanks for your question. I'm sorry, but I cant assess your right helmet size via a youtube comment! ;D it is super important, that your helmet fits you well, otherwise it won't offer you the best possible crash protection! in my experience helmets use to get a little bit wider with the time as the cheek pads etc. yield with increasing age, so you should consider this when opting for an xxl. maybe an xl will do the job as well but i honestly can't tell. the just letting you know, thels2 pioneer has a little bit of a long and oval shape. hope this helps! cheers from vienna!

I have no personal experience with the Nexx helmet so I would be interested about our decision and ! ;) cheers!
@hadrianhaine52046 жыл бұрын
I love and hate my ls2 pioneer... It looks great works well as a dual sports helmet... BUT!... One of the best features of these helmets is also the worse! Removable pads... One so they can be washed and the best think the removable check pads so a first responders can safely remove the helmet in an accident... This was a major factor in my choice and something not found in any other helmet in this price range! BUT (yes in capitals! Cause is a big but) how the hell can you ever get them back on! Once I removed one it took 2.5 hours to respond fit... Stupidity I removed both tonight to fit a coms unit... And 3 hour later (none of the pads RE fitted, I am going to put a frickin axe through the rubbish piece of xx%#... Honestly after a year and a half raving about how it's the best value for money helmet... I would now tell people to steer clear! Defeated by 4 clips on each side on the helmet that must be fitted simultaneously but with two hands in a small space this is impossible... Don't waist your time... Good features work in real life not just on paper, a removable pad they can not be refitted in not a removable pad but a trap to make you wreck your helmet... Perhaps there is some secret order to fit the clips... Well no answers on the internet and if there was they should have put it on the box so you can read it when you buy the helmet!
@ATasteofFreedom6 жыл бұрын
hey buddy, thank you for your feedback! Maybe I'm just lucky with my LS2 Pioneer, but I haven't experienced the same problems. :) The way I refit the cheek pads is using brute force and. As you described it is very tricky to fit those 4 clips simultaneously but by applying firm pressure (from the inside AND OUTSIDE of the helmet as well) I'm able to lock every clip individually. The plastic of the inside of the helmet is soft enough so that you basically use the clips like snap fasteners and clip them directly into the narrow part of the hole without having to do that simultaneous "upward" motion. ;) Pls let me know, if this is of any value for you! Its hard to describe such things, especially as English isn't my first language! ;) maybe I'm just lucky and the clearance of my pioneer parts is just a bit wider. Let me know if this works out for you! :)
