Louis this may be a little late but when doing the clutch alignment just be sure on the c to c and that the motor is far enough out, you can always shim the secondary.

When the 860 breaks down (as it probably will) you should build a 1200 VES wc tripple in the iqr.

"we don't want to get too complicated" lmao, wish i could be that lucky and make stuff work with out taking a lot of measurements.
@georgef11764 жыл бұрын
I would of aligned it all like you did and then tack welded the skidoo plate to your swap plate sense that skidoo plate comes off the block you would of been good to drill holes perfect. That’s assuming you can weld aluminum which you can.

You know your stuff. nothing seems to upset you, I would have stuff flying out the window

louis you should slow down that drill press when doing holes that big lol

but then it wouldn't drill as fast:)

Hey Louie, Not sure if you will be able to point me in the right direction or give any advice on this but i have a 05 IQR 151 and i have a 2012 800 etec that i'm going to be attempting to put in any suggestions on how i should go about mounting that motor since that will be the toughest part of the project im thinking or any tips? Thanks

I have a 1999 Arctic Cat Z370, I've had it for quite some time now, it doesn't have much power for what I do. I enjoy the body style and everything, but it sucks for hauling ass up hills! Also, it's just a fanner, but would I be able to drop Z570 heads on it, and if I did what else would I have to do to it to get it working great?

Louie, I have a 2014 Iqr that I just purchased and im curious to what I should use for jetting. Im running premium 93 with my timing set on G and was wondering what your using? My riding style is ditch banging and playing in the powder. Also thanks to your videos I purchased a 10.5 gallon trail-tanks tank, seems to be doing a great job. The videos are great! Go PowerModz! - Scott C.

Hey Scott that is great! ok the 14 is different as far as jetting goes - just slightly I'm told - mains run a little richer. use the iqr jetting chart for baseline as it is pretty darn close. also check out js powersports online for info and parts. I had it close to dialed in when i put theis video out - the next day the temps outside warmed right up and jetting was horrible - i had to drop about 5 mains. the .9 paj helps the idle bog, it runs lean with it and hand idle but it's needed. the pilot jets can be 45 or 50 - try what is in the carb and you can see if you need to go smaller by the position of the fuel screw - if you need to screw it right in to get it leaned then drop a pilot size (anything less that say 1 turn out ). The mains will depend on your altitude and outside temp - start with 430's and jet until you have it right - make notes and get ready to get dirty. also, there is a mid range lag - i'm thinking it is the stock secondary spring - it needs to go.

Louis, what are the chances of fitting a ski-doo 1K engine in an IQR? Ideas brewing in my head.. lol

doo motor !!!!???? Unsubscribe !
@mathiaspettersen38139 жыл бұрын
I have to agree with that. The engine may be based on a rotax, but it's only the crank and the crankcase that is stock. The cylinders are modifyed rotax cylinders, but as relieabel as any other cylinders that is modded by RK tek. This sled is probably going to be awesome with the 860. BTW the polaris electical and fuel sytems aren't that bad. Yes, they had some issues in the past, but most of that was fixed in the Pro. Doo's has more problems than Polaris
@MrMechanicjr9 жыл бұрын
youre the only one missing out! lol besides this engine has less electronics since its carbed and if i remember right the stock engine was efi and its all rk tek parts anyways.
@mathiaspettersen38139 жыл бұрын
The stock iqr engine is carbed. Louie just used 800 CFI cylinders og pistons with a long rod kit.
