It looks like LSU should stick to playing Southwest Lafayette State to start the year because LSU always chokes when they start the season with a marquee opponent. The worst part about this loss was the obvious failures by the coaches. It’s easy to say the buck stops with me but I don’t see any repercussions… these are the exact same problems we had last year. Not only is there no improvement, but now some things worse, such as our defense and screwing up Perkins. If it was just the players were bad, there might be some help & hope but it’s clearly the coaching staff that’s the problem and that’s much harder to fix.

Instead they start by running up the middle for nothing yards and next play Daniel’s runs backwards for a loss after not throwing yet again… Nuss may not have won the game but he was the only QB for LSU that had a chance. Jayden and Nuss have completely different skill sets. We see many teams including LSU now using multiple RB. Why don’t we use different QB depending on different situations in the game. You know strategy, something teams pay coaches millions to do. Not to just repeat the EXACT same failures from last year.

Before you do that remember 350 yards were passed on 100 yards rushing by Daniels and 3 key third down passes that were long were all dropped by various receivers. We all do respect but deep balls were thrown and deep balls were not caught. And no way Nus gets you a 100 yards rushing either. And the defense looked very out of place defending mis direction and motion plays.

Not making plays on Offense killed us and not Stopping drives on Defense killed us. We sucked on 3rd downs on both sides of the ball. You can’t keep giving team’s opportunities to score as much as we did. Short drives from the Offense drained the Defense I knew they would get tired at some point. Last year, FSU played pretty poorly and they really beat LSU because of what looked like horrible preparation and a complete failure on special teams. I was very frustrated because that was the kind of thing a high dollar coach is supposed to buy you. Even in his first year, preparation, conditioning and basic fundamentals should never be the losing factor. I came around to Brian Kelly by the end of the year. This year, FSU played much better, and inexplicably…LSU had the same problems they did last year… only perhaps worse. It baffles the mind.

Instead they start by running up the middle for nothing yards and next play Daniel’s runs backwards for a loss after not throwing yet again… Nuss may not have won the game but he was the only QB for LSU that had a chance. Jayden and Nuss have completely different skill sets. We see many teams including LSU now using multiple RB. Why don’t we use different QB depending on different situations in the game. You know strategy, something teams pay coaches millions to do. Not to just repeat the EXACT same failures from last year.

We still cannot connect on vertical routes. It's either drops, failed progression reads, or the apprehension to allow JD5 to throw the ball deep consistently. I stopped watching midway through the 3rd quarter, but did we connect on any chunk plays where JD5 threw the ball 30+ yards? I said before the game that we would have to score 30 to win, and we scored less than a touchdown per quarter. In today's game, you can't win with 3 yards here, 3 yards there.

We collapsed under pressure same thing happened last season in the Tennessee game! We showed we can play with anyone but fsu jumped on us and didn’t let up and we collapsed. Now a lot of fans over react but we will be fine just as I said we would after UT blew us out last season. That final touchdown we threw was flawless execution before that we had all dropped passes we had missed blocks we had so many bad mistakes FSU would dog walk most teams in the country this year we can hang with them no doubt but once you let momentum swing like that your in trouble. Had we taken those FGs both those 4th downs it’s a 9 point game at halftime and could have swung things differently but woulda coulda shoulda who cares what matters is response going forward. We got big games coming and we can still do great things. But we have to execute we have to have Perkins in the back field as well not moving around in coverage he’s a havoc player put him on the ball let him get after the QB and masson smith being back will be huge too. You’ll see things come along we will be fine. When you take a chance opening the season with big games instead of warm up games things happen. That’s why all the other teams play little high school warm up games and even some of them didn’t look great week one like Ohio state ! Geaux Tigers 🐅

This is sad man! The team just wasn’t prepared, both coaching and players. Jayden and his receivers were not on the same page, misreads, O-Line not protecting their QB. D-Line at times looked sharp, although coaching and play calls were terrible. Safety’s constantly falling back leaving opportunities for the short game, terrible misjudgment on leaving QB spy reads leaving TE’s open. Just all around terrible performance
