Love the chad Jones reference. He is one of my favorite top LSU football players ever

With Omar in there, he is a second Perkins. they will have two great linebackers to hunt the ball.

If the defensive line does there job. Perk might put up ray lewis type numbers

There is no way They are not moving around Harold Perkins. He’s smart, has great instincts, plays really hard, and is a tremendous talent. He’s a freak. Whatever he does he will be great!

They had to move him inside due to teams scheming to put him guarding someone outwide. He will crush it.

I agree with what Darry said at the end there, Perk definitely seems like he’d be more valuable at the position he played last year, he wrecked Arkansas almost by himself. Those turnovers he was able to force from that position is worth more than gold. Maybe he’ll be able to do it from the inside too.

Hell Yeah he is a real ball hawk 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💯

I really feel like this is going to be a smart, smart move. The way he can get to the ball, his explosive injury, I think it’s going to work out great. Can’t wait for kickoff💜💛💜💛 GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Yes, there will be growing pains, but this guy HP is talented physically and has high IQ. It’s easy for me seeing him thrive into a top 1st rounder in a couple of years…

In a clip from Kelly’s initial speech at the conference he stressed the importance of being able to affect the middle of the field. With Mason returning they will be able to effect the QB right up the middle the fastest way to the QB. You will see something similar to what Spagno did with Frank Clark in K.C. creating a front that gets your best rushers a one on one that they will win 9/10 times. With Perkins right behind Mason imagine the endless possibilities of stunts and twists with these two.

It’s going to open up the door for the ends. Perkins is going to get doubled, if not triple teamed and it’s going to allow guys to get to the ball. I guess we will all have to wait and see but I’m not sweating it💜💛💜💛

The part y’all forgot is that he play in the middle of the field in the Arkansas game as a spy
@geronimo1987 Жыл бұрын
Exactly. Man this is going to open up so much more for our defense. It’s going to put more pressure on the qb and it’s going to cause turnover after turnover. Man I think they made the best decision they could have

Omar was a four year starter and penn was more than a rotational player. Penn was a starter that finished 2nd on the team in tackles. Perkins finished 3rd.

Honestly...idk how I feel about moving Perk to ILB with the raw talent he has for finding the football and rushing the QB I feel like you should just let him keep eating...if we start losing games specifically because we aren't getting pressure on the QB there is going to be ALOT of upset LSU fans
@kp3747 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I don't like it, If it ain't broke don't fix it.
@fredpitre2199 Жыл бұрын
He can do more damage rushing the QB from the inside. If he's strictly on the edge the protection can be shifted over to account for him. At ILB he can hit the A gab, B gap or still loop around the DE to come in from the edge. Hester covered this the other day on OTB. Said he much preferred if opposing best pass rusher would just come off the edge. Much easier to shift protection to account for.

@@Jamaltakii223 I can't remember seeing a LB with that kind of closing speed. Unreal. That will be able to cover for any mistake in technique he might make.

I understand the honey badger theory, but Perkins is way to explosive off the snap bro, I don’t think I’d put him at S. I know there’s a thing called S blitz but you can run a S blitz every play lmfao

Whit will be better than West IMO... speed! Perk to Jack on third and Whit to replace him? I think Penn will play a lot as well, but Whit seems to be a good cover guy... Maybe it was just one play in the spring game, but I doubt that was fluke.
