Not so much how many guys LSU puts on each side, but WHO they put on each side. First play they have Clyde split wide to the top sideline which takes a LB out there with him. Not only does the formation open up the middle, but taking that LB makes it even more pronounced. This is what really opened up the runs up the middle for Burrow all season long.

It’s a formation, personnel move. Not switching out personnel is what hurts the defense there. Usually u can prepare when the offense puts in 5 wide. But when they use the same personal in 11 as they do in 5 wide. U end up having to cover that player with a lb…Good OC that keeps the defense on their toes..

Could you possibly break down Arranda’s multiple 3-4 defense as well. Showing what it tries to accomplish?

I am definitely going to get into some defenses over the off season! Arranda is definitely one that I will study. Thanks for watching!
