@@Fulldre It's why its great to see G2 lock them in. G2 showing they're not here to have fun, but are wanting to win, even if it means having to play Ivern. Other teams probably have 0 clue how to play against Ivern, or the pressure Daisy creates and will be forced to ban; whilst G2 can get away with taking Ivern into comps where Ivern isn't 100% utilized. If a team bans Ivern, then its a waste of a ban since G2 has other pocket picks or can conform to Meta picks. Honestly its just genius from G2; but also terrifying for other teams. They either try to force G2 to conform to their Meta, in which I believe the Eastern Teams will sweep G2 if they do so; or the Eastern Teams are forced to conform to G2's Meta.

Game 2 and 3 G2 simply outperformed T1 . LEGIT on paper that series G2 won 4 out of 5 games . They throw 2 cuz of the stress and Faker really really really had to cluch it out . LS's major problem is he takes things in a vacuum. Fiora can be the most op busted champ in the world... and she likely is here, but the simple fact remains ... BB and G2 just dont play it lol. Its not just the singular player, the whole team has to play around a fiora or she doesnt work. Not arguing the idea, but its not pragmatic to speak in absolutes when a teams playstyle is well known.

Pretty sure he knows that though. Acknowledged that multiple times. When he is saying that, he is usually just theory crafting. He is not actually saying that they should pick X champ without every having practiced it. What he often was saying however, is that pros should practice X champ precisely because it WOULD be good if they could play it. On the occasions where is actually does suggest certain picks that generally are weak but are good in X niche situation (Like Teemo in this vid) he really is just theory crafting, I'm pretty sure. Pretty sure he wouldn't say that pros should practice Teemo for the 1% of games where he actually would be a strong niche counter.

Ive also, quite literally only seen him actively criticize teams for not going whats specifically best on paper; though likely completely untested or totally irrelevant for certain teams. I appreciate his theory crafting, but hes not really taking teams playstyles and strengths into consideration when making said "on paper" ideas. When I was in the Navy, we called this the "right horse, wrong barn" approach. Its just holistically bizarre approach when it comes to analyzing pro play. Not even calling him wrong, hes most often correct and... much more importantly... can explain why. But I personally find it detracts from the experience listening to hypotheticals that arent really relevant any more. We specifically DONT want BB on fiora for example haha.

Fiora, Riven, Irelia... so many champions that can be so so strong but require so so so much time and practice; not just for the player. Last time we saw an effective fiora in international pro play, there was a rengar shadowing her the *entire* time. Completely sacked the map to protect the 1-4. Wound up winning too. These are not "pick up and play" champions like ksante or aatrox for example. Ive quite literally never touched ksante, but played against it enough on fiora, i am quite certain i could pilot him reasonably well after a couple games. If you screw up a single fiora w, you can genuinely make your game unplayable.

I mean, he values very safe and easy to execute champs a lot more overall I think.
