Seems like TES and the chinese aggressive playstyle (sometimes hyperaggressive like Jackeylove) is the bone of existence for Geng, when they just wanna scale unpeturbed, leaning onto Canyon to safely usher them through tough times. It is refreshing to see this playstyle gets punished and hopefully the LCK will learn something from them. As the case with Peyz e- ing into aggresively into them, if you do that against Jackeylove or a competent team, that is not afraid, you will get punished for it. Creme and 369 played extremely well. I wish more Korean teams did statchecking when ahead.

Gen G knowing what it's like to "suffer from success". When you're the current best team in the world, teams will prioritize looking for ways to beat that best team in the world. Now even at MSI, TES were respectful to their opponents in draft and their prep was what allowed them to outdraft GenG. Big takeaway this series is that if Canyon is not allowed to pop off, then the team looks mediocre. And since Chovy has been a passive presence that only puts up numbers this summer split, it meant that Gen G without their usual macro is vulnerable.

That's what i thought too. Since msi the best player (or better say the most important player in the world and in geng) is Canyon. He dictated the new jungle meta alone and he is clearly the best at it. In the lck and msi he has been able to impact the game a lot and with the stagnant mid meta even if Chovy is still the best player in the world he doesn't have that pop off potential because it's always the same champions that are not playmakers. If teams can lock down Canyon beating geng is very much possible

Tristana isn't a priority ban. With the current meta you just pick Corki and you are good. Zyra is the fastest jungle clearer in the game with cc and also one of the fastest baron rush. The amount of early game impact of zyra is a lot more scarier to face with the wrong comp

@@neetfreek9921Zyra is the fastest clearer in the game now, beating even stuff like Karthus. Unlike Karthus tho she is much stronger early game and mid game, and a bit weaker late game. She also one tap dragons and baron. But the clear speed is the main issue, especially in this jungle farming meta. She can full clear and gank while enemy jungler still stuck in the full clear. Basically she is like pre nerf Karthus.

@@yandenditt No, Gen G were not some impassable wall at MSI. They had close series', namely TES. BLG also couldn't topple them, but wasn't a bad series. It's the same as most MSI and regular splits: T1 took JDG last year to game 5, no one else did, but no one thought T1 would win Worlds after summer split. Winning 1 MSI is great and all, but Gen G are historic chokers internationally. 1 win doesn't change that, just lessens it and gives hope for change, same as T1 winning Worlds last year. His comment is 100% accurate. Clearly you need to check your own memory and take either some bias out or learn objectivity.
