I love Cam! I didn't think anyone would be able to fill Jack's shoes, but Cameron became one of my favorites!

He didn't get it as bad as Jonas did, but Cam still suffers from being so hastily introduced as the replacement for a beloved cast member. A shame, since they're both great characters given an unfair first impression, and ironically have some of their best moments alongside their predecessor. Still impressive how the Stargate team managed to make something so great during the massive raging dumpster fire that was their relationship with the studio.

That’s … an excellent point, actually. Hastily added characters are usually a death knell for a show, but I would have gladly watched Mitchell for a while longer. Jonas too, for that matter.

Kind of makes me wish they brought him in during season 7 or 8 as a type of side character so that the audience got to see him and so that we could see him bond with the cast. In season 9 we were presented with the fact that SG1 knew him and were fond of him before he joined up with the team proper. Like we're presented with Mitchell and Carter being good friends already at the start of season 9.

If I could go back in time and A) provide them the money to have Jonas stay on even when Shanks returned and Cameron show up as a supporting character before season 9; and b) get them to make a solid plot/character to Jonas to keep him around, would do so in a heartbeat.

i've always hated the lemon scene in the pegasus project.. i just don't find them funny and find it insulting really.. sheppard having one as a joke is good.. mitchell threatening mckay with it, when he definitely wouldn't use it and mckay feeling threatened by it is stupid

Yes but the whole point, was making Mckay think he was. It's a ruse. We know Mitchell wouldn't use it but try to make it sound and feel like he would.
