I'm an old white country boy and this song was popular when I was in high school. I have NO problem admitting that this is one of my all time favorites and I can sing it word for word!!!!! And no my comment has nothing to do with race just saying that great music doesn't see color or have boundaries!!

was Lionel Ritchie with the Commodores at that concert you saw at MSG. That would have been a really bad ass, triple bill. btw…the brass players peel off of their hands on shoulders line up one at a time in a pirouette, keeping their feet to the beat. As you say, showmanship at its best.

Maannn LISTEN the INTERNET is S O UNDEFEATED! THANK YOU for the upload OP (OP is the original poster..) We/I SEE you, AND I most definitely APPRECIATE you too. FRFR! When I tell y’all I’ve been looking for the actual REAL SONG version of this since the very FIRST time EVER that I’d heard it on the “New Edition Story” film… BELIEVE IT. So AGAIN, thank you so VERY much for this one. I’m enjoying it (AND the group as a WHOLE now too actually via a bit of research) as much as I real LIFE enjoyed it in that movie. These men are NOT PLAYING with A N Y of US! Ergo come through VOCALS! They can REALLY SANG y’all and I AM INDEED H E R E for it super TOUGH. That’s prolly just BECAUSE aside from the genuine TALENT they TOTALLY remind me of my beloved Tt, as she would be messing with THIS particular group the LONG way. Hell we bonded over the “Temptations” AND the “Five Heartbeats” for FOREVER and do even to this very DAY. So.. also I truly apologize for the length of this silly ass, long ass comment, but I ramble as you can ALL SEE smh. I’m HONESTLY sorry on THAT everyone. 🥺 However it’s just something about THIS song that hits me RIGHT in the FEELS every single freaking time. Anyways…. everyone TRY to be as SAFE as you can out chea IF you see this and IF it’s possible for you. I mean.. We’re ALL STILL in this SUPER FREAKING HELLA WEAK ASS crap ASS country TOGETHER so.. lol. WE can’t even change THAT though. 🤷🏾♀️ SO.. I’m STILL SENDING love, light, and encouragement. ❤️❤️ -Bre
