Reg chomper is the only chomper I can respect as long as the player isnt entirely new to the game, because this player, rather than playing a better class or even a better variant has chosen to go with the chomper with no gimmicks, and I can respect that even a little bit because they've chosen stock over fire damage, health on swallow, sonic the hedgechomper, warp on crack, health regen, and even range. Its respectable in a weird way, but you might as well play a different class at that point.

One amazing tip is if your next to a ledge you can walk off and a zombie is passing by below, you can burrow and jump off the ledge while still in burrow and you still fall off the ledge but you don’t resurface and nobody can see you and you can just swallow the zombie passing by. I’ve used this SO many times and it’s insane. Try it!

One thing you forgot to mention about the Burrow is how if you sit still the meter for the ability will go down slower, and the normal particles that usually come up when you’re moving don’t show up, allowing you to sit in one spot- completely invisible and pop out of nowhere to get a quick meal.

Chomper deserves better. I get that a lot of people hate to play against him because of his instant kill ability, but just because of that people hate everything about him, including playing as him. I hate to play against him too, but that doesn't mean I hate to play as him.

I genuinely believe goop is the best ability in the game. Only reason I don't think it's huskhop is because it can be very inconsistent and kinda predictable sometimes. Meanwhile goop: recharges in like less than 15 seconds, has a massive fucking radius, does I think between 15 and 20 damage, slows people down, makes them unable to jump, use abilities, turn around in normal speed and lasts for SO fucking long. It's not just that useful to the chomper but to the entirety of the plant team, it's basically almost the full freeze effect of ice characters (with the exception of completely immobilizing them but honestly with how slow it makes you it's not even that different) and you basically get that effect with just one button press, and you have to just aim at their general vicinity. It's so fucking bullshit Edit: After watching the video I realized goop is even better lmfao, recharges faster than I thought and does more damage than I thought

I feel like there's a decent way to fix swallowing. Make chompers able to scope in order to swallow. On top of being able to scope, you can swallow them at any angle rather than having to eat them when their back is turned against you.

If I had to take a guess, it’s likely because the game allows the instant kill mechanic based on a set distance and separate hitbox. What I think is happening, is that if you happen to be right in the enemies face, that hitbox might be going all the way through them, and going on their back, making the game think your at their back when your not. Granted this is something that Popcap might have expected, since their is a dedicated animation of them swallowing from the front, so it might be a bug they just chose to embrace, or just a mild inconsistency (since even in perfect lobbies, there’s always that tiny bit of latency)

Chomper should swallow faster depending on their hp %, the lower the faster. Attacking a zombie wouldn't nullify all of your efforts and chompers that have on swallow abilities would have more use for chomping and spike/spiky spike weed

I only play GW1 (Don't have 2, don't need it) and I gotta say there are some things in this video I disagree with. First off, the game even says this, chomper is best at 1v1s, killing isolated targets. Don't go into big groups of zombies. Second, you are really underselling swallowing. It's a really good mechanic, the instakill is really powerful especially when going against All-Stars. Basically you goop an enemy, giving them lower sens, then use that to your advantage to strafe around and get the freest kill of your life. Basically, don't bite people. It's slow and gives them time to fight back. Swallow people. It's better. Burrow is really good, you pretty much always want to use it offensively. 95% of the time it is a free kill.The other 5% you have to work a little harder, but you get the kill regardless if you're smart. Always go for the instakill with it too. If someone steps on spikeweed, take the instakill. It's free. You were pretty good with your info on goop though, props.

True, the swallowing aspect was undersold though this was for a particular reason. in GW2, chomper gains access to 2 damage upgrade, making each chomp deal just a little over 31 damage (31.36 to be exact). Whilst yes in some aspects it is better to just instantly swallow rather than just chomp people to death, because stock chomper is not one of the 3 variants that gain something upon swallowing, I advised it be better to just continuously bite people to death. GW1 I would say swallowing is a bit more efficient, since he doesn't have access to direct damage upgrades, and certain zombies are a lot stronger in GW1 (ie, stock all-star for example)
