95% clear. In case of long prefix (rural areas with longer delay spread), does that mean that we have time slots longer than 71.4µs, in order to accommodate a longer cyclic prefix? Hence the 6 slots instead of 7?

Yes, you are right. Each LTE frame includes ten 1 mili-second subframes. Each subframe is comprised of 2 time slots.

so if there is no delay spread (LOS) can we shorten symbol duration for example to 10 nano second in a 20MHz channel or we need to have 100MHz in order to shorten symbol duration to 10 nano second ? in other words , is it delay spread which limits the symbol duration or bandwidth or both ? and thank you so much for sharing knowledge and these useful tutorials
