So disappointing that there are only 7 comment posts on this site. Men like Mr. Padilla deserves much more recognition and respect for their bravery, courage and duty to country. Thank you for your service, Mr. Padilla.

Richard Lozano Padilla is my father. I’m not a computer guy but I forced myself to get signed up in KZbin to give all you great people updates on my dad along with others that were interviewed along with him .He fought along side Jim Zwit and Mike Allen .If you found my dads video there’s will be floating around his interview.like the video shows his tour of duty was from 1970-71 with the US Army 101ST Airborne mostly in the central highlands of Vietnam.Number one , my father is a great man and was a provider after the war .He married in 1975 to my mother in Fillmore California. He had three children my older brother (1977) me (1980) and my sister (1983)He raised us to be decent hard working Americans with red whit and blue running through our veins . All men and women created equal and respect everyone you meet until proven otherwise. He gave me and my brother the love for the outdoors fishing and upland game bird hunting and sports.

Accidentally hit sent on my comments...wasn’t finished. With the good man my father is his health recently is starting to fail.He has been living with type2 diabetes for years now and other the last two his situation has worsened. He recently got diagnosed with stage 5 dementia, the VA doctors are giving him 3-5 years.Unfortunately Jim Jwit has passed away since these interviews have been released.. With all the respect in the world I want to thank you on behave of my father for all the great comments you have left him , I know he and my family appreciate it.Please the next time you see a Vet tip your hat to them or buy them a drink if you see them out and about . Know matter how you feel politically , emotionally, etc....They have sacrificed so much for our freedoms in this great country.

His wound treatment story with a nurse and his meeting his brother with a knife was as real as it gets. Thank you for his service.

The Knife my father mentions is a Bo Randall model 14 .He still has it .The sharpening Stone from the sheath is worn down thin in the middle after years of use.The blade is carbon spotted, worn from heavy use.The almost impossible finger grooves micarta handle on it has a big chip out of it from RPG shrapnel. It’s what turned me into a Randall knife collector ...I now have 23 pieces.

You were not treated right by your own country. It's so unfortunate. Thank you so much for your bravery and dedication to your country. All the best in the future.
