hi? I am the white armored man in that video. Kendo people are very strong. The 2-on-1 sparring became more difficult as time went by. Small space, low ceiling. And the kendo practitioners planned a strategy and formed a formation. I sparred under those conditions. At first, I was focused on having fun, but by the second half of the game, I felt like I was going to get embarrassed if we continued like this. So for the last time I showed the last technique of my martial arts. It's a struggle right away haha

I love the way the kendokas immediately try to divide his attention between them, force him to move as much as possible to make as wide a gap as possible. I also really like the halberd user's sense to go straight to the wall, preventing them from going to opposite sides. I'll always say it, a swordsman fighting a spearman is a downsided match up, even with the two of them working together, look at how hard they have to work to get a solid blow in! Obviously this isn't easy for the halberd wielder either, But that's just evidence that he was giving it his all. He's very skilled for keeping two people at bay like that, and the two swordsman are very skilled for being able to get past his weapon the way they did!

Well as a Chinese I must say that technically there is no Lu Bu's glaive in the real history of his time. he doesn't use glaive. his weapon is just spear, like all other warriors, riders or generals in the same era. still, the video is cool. I've followed this channel for about months and learned a lot from your works, you guys are the most amazing guys in this world to me =D. I really wish one day people could find out a way to safely simulate those battles with extremely dangerous and heavy weapons. like pole hammer, two-handed axe, or dual flanged maces and so on. what length or weight is their best form for human to use? with equal techniques, taller and shorter person who is stronger? it depends more on their moment of inertia or height, or sight? what about armor off and armor on? and why? I played a lot of games or 3d simulators with rigorous physics engines, yet none of them are real, and physicists usually don't know much about martial arts haha. oh god those puzzles are killing meeee XD
@Zanen91975 ай бұрын
A small suggestion is that Lu Bu's glaive head or Halberd head would be bigger and you would want to swing it and you would want something on there to make it both sturdy and capable of taking sword hits. Mostly stabbing is a spear. Combining skill with swinging it and the upgrades I mentioned as well as strength and speed allows one to tear through armies and take on a vast amount of people.

Have to use those hooks. The "crescent" was designed to work like the hooks on medieval European polearms. In duels, use the fact your weapon is effective at range and really close, where theirs is not. Bind the enemy sword,a dn then deal with them bodily to knock them down, get oneopponent in front of the other, force them backwards to makea misstep. Their weapon is next to useless in really close quarters (no pommel or quillions for a mmurder stroke), where yours is still capable of easily breaking noses, cheek bones, hands, elbows. The beauty of polearms is they work in three different spheres of range; max reach, sword distance, or up close by choking up or using the haft. Of course...doesn't work when you aren't actually trying to hurt your opponent.

the point of Lv Bu's weapons was that the apparatus at the top can trap spears. Lv Bu is supposed to be extremely strong and skilled with the horse, once his enemies' weapon becomes entangled with his, he is able to disarm his opponents or throw them off their horses using brute strength or clever horse maneuvers. it is seldom used by other warriors because one needs a combination of many different skillsets to operate the weapon effectively.

The halberd was more common a sight on European battlefields than the sword. Only the Romans used a sword more often. The sword usually was a high status weapon. Most Vikings would use an axe or spear and rare indeed a sword. That being said the sword especially a slashing one like a saber, cutless, or katana would have a very limited effect on a knight in full plate steel.
@gunh41298 ай бұрын
Hi White Armored man, can you show us how Lu Bu's Fang Tian Ji / halberd actually do? Your technique in here was basically a spear technique. It didn't use Fang Tian Ji's full advantage, because you didn't use the two crescent moon knives at the side of the spear. Or maybe do you think that both crescent moon things actually useless in sparring? What do you think about that?
