@@liliessijeuni7774 One of the greatest. There are others who were highly accomplished, though some were as controversial as well. For instance, Emperor Gaozu of Han Dynasty, Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty, Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty, Empress Wu Zetian, Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, etc.

Basically this: by killing Lao Ai and exiling Haolan, Ying Zheng truly assumed power. Lu Buwei was dispensed as Prime Minister and to reward him for his many contributions to the state, Ying Zheng conferred on him the title of Marchess, and Lu Buwei lived in his domains until his death by alcohol addiction. Ying Zheng would later welcome Haolan back to the capitol and publicly reconcile with her, and when she died, she would be later posthumously conferred as "Empress Dowager" (at the time of her death, she was still "Queen Dowager"). This was after Ying Zheng proclaimed himself as Emperor of Qin, I believe.
