The real game, and every skater knows this, is when you start your run and you keep doing one trick after another, without any mistake. I'm absolutely not surprised that no one stopped his run, it's just part of skate culture. "This is the way" 😎

Idk... I've run into a lot of try hard, over competitive skate to impress types out there.
@IDiggPattyMayonnaise4 жыл бұрын
@@marcusrosales3344 For real. This new generation is all about clout and likes. When I was growing up you didn't really expect anything from skating you just did it and maybe get a sponsor. Now it's impress anyone on or off the board. People also are really critical now. Like between what's core or corporate, kinda homophobic, kinda sexist, and kinda racist. Not like it didn't have problems before, but as the amount of skaters grew so did the bad types.
@marcusrosales33444 жыл бұрын
@@IDiggPattyMayonnaise I think it depends on where you're from. In AZ I got alot of stand offish arrogant people as well as people who are trying tricks they have no business trying. They don't practice basics they don't have since they think they look better messing up on tricks they can't do. In IL I have run into a few people like this but over all much friendlier and welcoming skaters.

Luan is so good I remember watching him win Tampa Am 2 years in a row back to back and in between runs while practicing you could tell he was on a pro level and way ahead of everyone else (which at the time was Ams like Ishod Wair, Evan Smith, Felipe Gustavo, so many who weren't pro yet and trying to make a name for themselves)

1:25 - Casual AF kickflip nosegrind revert gets a priceless reaction by literally every onlooker in the crowd...except for one. Check out a certain pro to the right of the frame realizing there's absolutely no hope of winning and not even giving Luan the respect he deserves by watching him finish off the flawless run. Also, I just love Maltos reaction. 😉

Luan is beast for real. I honestly think his style and skill is better now, yet he never comes close to winning competitions..... although of course, he's still placing final rounds consistently in the highest level competitions. I just notice, in the last few years, Luan literally does 0 grinds. No ledges, no rails, no lips. He just does the biggest hammers down the biggest stuff. Now I understand Luan is not known for his grinds. But in 2015, while although he didnt do anything over the top crazy, he still threw in some grinds. Come on, its probably all the judges want to give Luan a winning score. Heavy hammers and just throw in a few small grinds. He could be number 1 again.
@yobro60534 жыл бұрын
Luan can do rails , I feel like he holds himself back, doesnt seem like he is trying. If you look at shane ,he is constantly improving, one part after another he raises the bar whereas luan seems to have remained where he has been for the past years

I'm brazilian and i can say for sure that he can do rails. In the past when he was younger he used to skate rails... he knows that for sure but does not want to throw in the competitions anymore...

that's not street league bs points, here they win by the crowd, watch busenitz win and u see what im saying, people was trying all the craziest tricks, and him with the "basics" in a row made everyone stand up and cheer for him, that's how you win on tampa
