This is such a sad story. I agree with all commenters that this man remarried too quickly. You cannot fill the void of a loved one who passed suddenly. He should’ve taken the time to grieve his loss, go to family and individual counseling to process the sudden death of his wife and their mother. This is also another reason why it’s so important for men to learn the coping and emotional skills to help their kids, especially girls, how to deal with their emotional roller coaster of losing their mother so early on their lives, at such young ages. Don’t leave those conversations and skills up to the mom. Same for moms to learn skills to reach their sons if the father is no longer in the picture. This man failed his children by staying with his new wife: he saw that his new wife doesn’t love his kids but still allows it to continue by staying married to her. And now he’s forever tied to her with their child they conceived together. He better get her to give up parental rights of their baby; otherwise she will dry him up of his money through alimony and child support.
