As a keyboard enthusiast, I recommend actual hand lubing. It is going to be worth it at the end. If you are not gonna hand lube, why buy a hot swap?

I used this on my SK61 and if you have done this before, it's quite useful. It basically lubes the switch to make it sound and feel better. However, be warned as over lubing it may result in some switches becoming sticky. Only use about 2 drops per switch and clean your stem after. Do that and you should be good.

@@DawoodKhan-kn4iu I'm not really too sure, I did this over a year ago and can't really remember what I did. Realistically I'm pretty sure this method isn't all too good overall though.

which keyboard do you have there? it's pretty with the white finish. had no idea there was wax based 'non-oil' for bikes. gonna go to the bike store and ask if they'll help me to some... though it might appear odd to walk down the string with that siringe... eeeeeh.

this will work but will not last long and not very evenly spread compared to hand lube. However for the purpose of not needing to de-solder, i guess it's better than nothing. Best is the still hand lube with 205g0, lubing the stem and rail.

The stabs are really easy on a soldered board. You can just take a tiny brush, or a really thin piece of plastic like a straw that's been cut long ways. Then you take your grease or lube, get a decent amount on your tool, and just get it all over the stabs. Under, inside, on the sides of the stems. Then, press and pull them up and down a few times. Clean up the stuff on the outside, then put your caps back on. You can't do that with every key but you can do it with the stabs. Also, another way to make your board sound and feel better is to take it out of the case. It shouldn't be a big deal. Then get some foam, and line the bottom of your case and fill in any gaps. Then, when you put it back together, leave the middle screw a bit loose. Just enough so it doesn't rattle but you basically want there to be some flex in the middle. You won't be able to see it. But it will make typing feel better and it sounds better too.

@@TheGuy47YT the appeal of blue switches is that it makes a more high pitched and loud noise which is quite defined. lubing it will dampen that noise and essentially just make them tactile switches instead of clicks switches, which are what blues are.
