Did this today! Holy crap what a difference. 30 years of grime. And that window clip trick is awesome. Thanks

I believe you want to first clean the original grease out of the window regulator tracking - and the reapply a new body of grease to the tracking. I'm not sure spraying something on top of the existing grease is really the best method to be honest. But thanks for doing a video with a late 80's Toyota truck! That's really all that matters.

What lubrication are you are you are you using silicone white lithium grease what are you using to grease your areas that you're talking about?

excellent question, I didn't cover that on the video. I would recommend a dry lubricant first, something with Teflon, in a spray form. You can find them anywhere, e.g. Home Depot, Auto parts store. Dry lube would be better to avoid dirt sticking to the moving parts later on. Is good to have around the house. If not worried about dust, then any other spray lube, like liquid wrench- chain-cable-lub. (That's what I used) Wouldn't recommend a paste, (that's what somebody before me used on this crank, didn't work) since it would be hard to apply. (Note: it took longer for he lube to come off my window than I thought, but it did. U might want to try it on glass first to see how it behaves. The crank is still smooth though)

Terrible video. Please re-due explaining the choice of lube to use. I want something that can be applied once and never need to do this again.

he explained in the comments that if you have a lot of dust and grime, use a dry silicon type spray with teflon. if not worried about dust you can use liquid wrench or some other spray lube like that. also would depend on the condition of your window seals. if the rubber is cracked, lube them with something that won't eat the rubber!
