Hey Deashas love your reactions this one of my favorite movies. It reminds of my childhood friendships. Me and my best friend would skateboard all around Baltimore City. Super close as preteens...then high school happened, and everybody went their own way. This movie is so emotional to me for some reason. I like that you can apply whatever meaning you want. I know some people read into it and see a crush of some sort, but it can be whatever you want to be.

There's a theory that Bruno from "Encanto" is Alberto's father

i've heard this but I do not believe it. Encanto Bruno says "My gift wasn’t helping the family, but I love my family, ya know?" I feel that someone that loves their family enough to hide in a wall for years just to be near them wouldn't ever leave their own son.

@@DeashasAlwaysWatching the time-line makes sense though. He leaves after having Mirabel's fortune. Mirabel is 5 Y.O. at that time. 10 years later, she's now 15; Alberto, if I remember correctly, is 12. Add the 9 months of pregnancy of a female, you basically have 4 out of 10 of Bruno's years mapped out (assuming he has actually left). I love Bruno but he doesn't actually seem to be the responsible type. He could've been looking for a way to tell abuela the news but it never actually comes up in the movie. You obviously can't doubt that he was living in-between(?) casita but at what point does he actually start doing so?

No, Bruno in encanto was originally named Oscar, and then the crew discovered that there are a substantially large number of people named Oscar Madrigal. As a result, they decided to change the name.

Fun trivia: Director Enrico Casarosa stated that he drew inspiration from the films of Hayao Miyazaki when creating the film. The character Luca's original last name was Portorosso, a nod to Miyazaki's Porco Rosso (1992) (in English, Porco Rosso). In the final version of the film, the character's surname was changed and the name of the town was changed to Portorosso. Also, A Donald Duck plush toy can be seen in Giulia's room, which is fitting because Donald Duck is very popular in Italy. Loved your reaction, Deasha! Can't wait to see more reactions. It actually wasn't supposed to be a thing! Bruno's name in Encanto wasn't Bruno until the last second; Lin-Manuel Miranda specifically requested that name to write the song, We Don't Talk About Bruno.
