@smc3735 2 ай бұрын
@@shiroumxm2052 Please don't misunderstand - why should we be ashamed of the Cross? No Cross, No CROWN. It is known that Satan is terrified of the Cross of our Redemption as any Exorcist will tell you. Eusebius of Caesarea (c. 263 - 339 CE) born in Palestine, is considered the most outstanding Christian historian of antiquity. He not only wrote a book which is still being printed today called "Church History" which documented the spread of Christianity in the first 4 centuries since Christ, but He also wrote a book documenting the Life of the Christian Emperor Constantine whom he knew directly. "28. Accordingly he (Constantine) called on him (The true God) with earnest prayer and supplications that he would reveal to him who he was, and stretch forth his right hand to help him in his present difficulties. And while he was thus praying with fervent entreaty, a most marvelous sign appeared to him from heaven, .......He said that about noon, when the day was already beginning to decline, he saw with his own eyes the trophy of a cross of light in the heavens, above the sun, and bearing the inscription, CONQUER BY THIS. At this sight he himself was struck with amazement, and his whole army also, which followed him on this expedition, and witnessed the miracle. 29. He said, moreover, that he doubted within himself what the import of this apparition could be. And while he continued to ponder and reason on its meaning, night suddenly came on; then in his sleep the Christ of God appeared to him with the same sign which he had seen in the heavens, and commanded him to make a likeness of that sign which he had seen in the heavens, and to use it as a safeguard in all engagements with his enemies. 30. At dawn of day he arose, and communicated the marvel to his friends: and then, calling together the workers in gold and precious stones, he sat in the midst of them, and described to them the figure of the sign he had seen, bidding them represent it in gold and precious stones. And this representation I myself have had an opportunity of seeing." www.earlychurchtexts.com/public/eusbius_in_this_sign_conquer.htm Constantine, led by Christ demolished the Pagan Empire and won Territories for Christ. He also entered Jerusalem and constructed many Churches upon the historical sites commemorating the life, death and Resurrection of Christ. One of the earliest records of a Christian Pilgrimage to the Holy Land is by a Catholic Nun called Egeria, who undertook a Pilgrimage shortly after Constantine had lived. She describes the hallowed Sites and her visits to many Biblical Sites in a letter sent to the Convent back home. digital.library.upenn.edu/women/egeria/pilgrimage/pilgrimage.html As for the Crusades? Know that Cowards will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Christ Himself said in John 18 that If His Kingdom WERE of this world- His followers would FIGHT for Him.. He also said "Go out into the world and Baptise all Nations in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost." Mat 28. Allowing Christian territories to be stolen by none-Christians does not help Christ expand His Kingdom on earth. Is Christ OK about Muslim Kingdoms conquering His own Lands? Have you read the Old Testament? Did not Our Lord despatch troops to combat the Kings enemies? Did He not command King Solomon to destroy every single Amalekite? 1 Samuel 15:3 Now go and attack the Amalekites and devote to destruction all that belongs to them. Do not spare them, but put to death men and women, children and infants, oxen and sheep, camels and donkeys.'" Solomon refused to obey this Command and God punished Him. It seems when Christ said "I and My Father are ONE." You may not have understood. We must risk our lives and shed our blood to expand His Kingdom on earth. Not flee in Cowardice. See this video. The Crusades were originally called to preserve the lives of Christians living in the Holy Land who were being slaughtered by invaders. To allow this to take place to maintain a false peace when people are being eradicated is not God's Will. If the Crusades had not taken place there would be no Christian Territories remaining on earth today. "For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me and for the gospel will save it. " Mark 8:35. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJKpnKKOa8xknKc&t

it's not easy to sing before a big audience, especially in this acoustically demanding environment, where usually during most of the concerts you can hear everything - coughing, voices, noises etc. But did you notice how quiet and immersed this audience was? Incredible. P.S. I still prefer the guy who sang from above in the original Tenebrae video with this piece ))

Oh yeah! I liked his voice, though I found this fellow's voice quite interesting too! Something more mature in a way, right? The first man who "sang from above in the original" had an inherent youthfulness. What their part is saying I do not know; haven't translated it yet hehe

It is as if all of creation, especially the angels in Heaven were singing this poignantly dramatic hymn after the Death of the Christ+ that infamous Friday evening. And as the psalm progresses, I can see the dead Christ+being lowered from the bloody Cross and grievously mourned by His weeping Mother. Then wrapped in linen and anointed by the grieving Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea. And when the final cadence hits, I could see the great stone being rolled into place to seal the sepulchre. This is the anthem of my soul, this timely Lent! 😭
