Story 1: I understand OPs hurt in the first story, but that behavior was unusual for for and came while she was a teen. It’s clear something was wrong with her. That behavior and just suddenly becoming racist? That’s not normal. And it’s good they tried therapy, but therapy can only help a person if they let it. If they refuse, it won’t do anything. OP should work on forgiving their daughter. Because she’s the mom and that’s her kid and they’re seeking forgiveness and again, something clearly was wrong. That said, if she does choose too, they should work on reconciliation in family therapy and op needs to talk to her daughter about how much her behavior and actions hurt her and broke her.
